Second season here for me.
It's been a drier year, but the one spot I found last year had a small flush that I kept stopping by to water occasionally in the evening. Also was able to get some of it's progeny to grow in a small planter of mine (sadly seems I lost the photos of the beautiful development of those from pin, bottlecap, to wavy nickel to quarter size).
I'm still on the lookout especially for the look-alike galerina maginata - which I'll still be cautious about until I spot them more in nature. Though no spotted characteristics here by me.
Location: Cal SF Peninsula Same location as a patch found in my rookie year: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26386195
Habitat: woodchips in landscaped area, small flowers and bushes around.
Stem: white bruises blue. No observable annulus.
Bruises: blue, when wet sometimes appearing dark blue-black. Easiest seen on stem when wet. As mushroom dries, more blue is scene on caps.
Cap: caramel or with some dyed dark from other mushroom spores and/or older instances). Viscid & smooth and wavy, although not as large or wavy as last year likely from the dry weather. Also some specimens had minimal waviness.
Spore Print: dark purple / gray * Note: even with adding water over 12-16 hrs, some did not produce much of a print.
Pics:
Location:

Batch 1) Picked back around Thanksgiving. Left the others to water.

Batch 2) After watering... and then after 2-3 weeks they looked on the downswing:
Before drying:

After partially dried (more blue on cap)

Batch 3). This was from a small planter that I seeded from the location last year:
(Sadly can't find the beautiful pictures of them growing)

After partial drying:

Note: for Batch 3, I'm curious how long a specimen will last. I was watering them periodically to try and grow those impressive large ones from last year, but they started to look like they were on the downswing (dry, also some black potential early rot) so I picked them to dry/desiccate.
Additionally, I've kept the ones that weren't as obvious or didn't generate a print separate as a precaution.

Good looking cyanescens. I would love to take those off your hands. If you add new alder and water the patch you should continue to have luck. I would also advise that you save some stem butts in foil and a ziplock bag so that you can add to your patch in spring. Depending on the location you could even add a small plant which by providing shade should assist with creating the right conditions.

Above are some drier specimens I found before the first frost up here in WA. GOOD LUCK

@mcasa: thanks for the tips! And nice specimens from up north!
@Alan: Thanks for the allenii ID. That's quite interesting as I've been curious about spotting those in the environment. It's also interesting that this is the same location where I found cyanescens last year. Although the specimens from that location were definitely less wavy and smaller.
In batch 3, the transplant from that location started last year and I had watered a bit more consistently for the last month, they were more wavy and had the classic features (as a novice myself) of cyanescens: bottle cap -> wavy -> lots of dark purple spores collecting on mushrooms below them.
On an aside, last weekend I went out on a hike and saw quite the collection of non-active mushrooms including bountiful oyster mushrooms. It was so great to see after the dry weather.

Cool, put them on iNaturalist and I will ID them. I've been identifying every mushroom found in the bay area there. It's too much work to do the whole state when season is good.
