I am starting to realize my tek will need some more specific amendments.

Contams on all my T1's so will be restarting from scratch  Guess I'll update my edit when the new plates get laid with spores!

most of the grains came out very nice but the bottom inch or so was a bit overhydrated and had a good bit of bursting/sticking going on. I was able to spread it out with a good shake so it turned out fine. I'm pretty sure it was due to the 2 hour PC cycle, I'm definitely gonna try it again with a full load of millet for the correct PC time. Might experiment with the amount in a few of the jars to see if it's the millet that needs dialing in.

I get a lot of burst grains in the water level line of pc. I raised my spacers / plate so water isn’t touching the jars and it helped significantly

Damn D3 your x7x myc is sexy! I'm having a lot of trouble with my agar. I had some rhizo at the end of my germ plate and a little bit on my t1s but for some reason I keep ending up back to this crap 👇.
 
Idk what's going on. This agar is 10g agar and 9g lme in 500ml distilled.

Went back to the spore plate for PESA and APEU T1's. Avery's and Yeti were ready for T1's as well.

Drop your lme to 7 see what it does. Go back to that streak plate, grab the tiniest pieces of those rhizo strands you can with your scalpel. Use the punch once the growth is more deired

i agree, they have that ugly look. it might also be excess water,my grain prep is not good. the next batch of wbs i want to cold soak for 12-24h. if this doesnt work out better i try no prep.

I bring enough water to cover the WBS plus an inch or two to a rolling boil in my PC then turn off the heat and move PC to another burner and immediately dump WBS into the PC and put the lid on locked. Let that sit over night, dump water and strain for 15 mins, load into jars and PC and they come out perfect every time. Maybe a little wet still after PC cycle but shake them every now and then while cooling and all the moisture gets distributed evenly.

Like, if one can and if I ever get rhizo, I'd want just a piece of that strand?
Also the transfer at 5:30, is that myc, it looks a lot like the contam I've been specializing it!

I took a few at 3 and 9 from the wedge on the left. 1 on the top right.
The section at 5:30 was from a tiny scrape of myc. Don’t believe it’s contams the myc is just growing through the agar sideways just ahead of what appears on the surface. ... there’s always that lingering doubt that makes me want to think it’s bacteria but after having done hot pours I’ve come to recognize that it’s indeed myc.
I’m just as nooby as anyone else, but I appreciate the compliments.

Anyway, its showing some nice activity too and it looks like some spores fell off the swab while I was managing the wisphy tip pieces, hence the satellite myc.
   
Here are the SAGARI dishes with RW T3s. Of the 23, most of them are the deceptive "weak" myc thats figuring out whether it wants to run or just fluff up. These are representative of about 6 or so that have seemed to make up their collective minds.

I forgot to shake my jar about five days ago, but took pics before I did.

This is usually when I shake my jars, but I do like to do it a lot sooner.
This is more like 35% or something, I like I shake at 15-20%.
