all this talk of plate supply issues makes me glad I'm part of no pour gang lol

just finished up swiping my plates, its almost 11 est so not toooo early but I've been up since 7am and my grow light timer in the plant tents kicks on at 10ish so it starts warming up in there pretty fast. I had some other transfers to take and jars to nocc as well. Gonna update my post and call it a night. Looking forward to all the updates in the morning :biggrin:

Streaked 7 plates using these 6" sterile swabs. Buried two in the agar and ripped off some fibers and buried those in another plate.


1/9: Transferred from germ plates



3/16: I ended up taking my RW plates to T4 before inoculating some jars a few weeks back.

The jars looked decent.

Spawned two monotubs today and will have a few more to spawn over the next week or so.







Harvested a handful of tubs when the site was down but never updated. Ended up with a revert unfortunately. I took a clone from this to grow just for shits.

I tried no pour plates and it just isn't for me. I enjoy pouring plates even though I'm not very good at it. I usually end up with quite a few that contam. I haven't poured any since the weather cooled off so I'm real curious to see what happens soon. I'm sure my sterile tech isn't the best either but I am getting better. I'm getting an FFU in the near future and am pretty damn excited about it.

Decided to test some crazy PRs I grew last year. I didn't expect too much from them but they seem to pack a bit more of a kick than I expected. Looks like plates my have to wait after all. haha

Twas 12:00 AM on January First of the new year. Most people were raising a glass to new beginnings... Others were lighting fire works and screaming, "Happy New Year!" while watching a flashy ball fall as the seconds ticked downward...

But there was someone else amongst them...
This person was carefully opening a small square of aluminum foil and preparing for something greater. Their very own "new beginning". This person was of a different breed.

This person... was from the tribe.

Drank a little more than I expected playing dominos with the in-laws tonight so I'll noc up some plates and update my OP tomorrow morning before all the bowl games.

Not to get too cliche, but this year I'm really going to strive to take better care of myself. It's a broad, open-ended resolution so it has less chance of failure. I drink way too much, I need to finally take physical therapy seriously to heal my back, eat healthier and work on some of my few remaining relationships. Having found this place and with some much needed medicine to be harvested come Spring time I should be well on my way to achieving my goals.

Thanks for welcoming me into this wonderful family. Cheers to all!

I transfered some agaricus bisporus spores to some plates with some shitake on them already. Did not have other plate ready pics coming soon

I may have to put the breaks on my LAGM grow. Things over the next month or so look a little uncertain. I will probably start the agar work then shove the plates in the fridge when/if 'real' life gets in the way. Also changing my species to the P. galindoi/tamp/whatever is actually is and pan cyan BVI. Will streak plates this afternoon.
