@seldom seen- Got you added in as well. I did exclude some of them that seemed outside the scope of LAGM though. T4 is a bit far along to be considered a grow along

I keep getting distracted by shit around the house and still haven't poured my plates. I think I see a lot of condensation in my future 
@Inthepit- yeah this place is about to blow up tonight and continue to do so for a week or so. Just a huge amount of vicarious experiences.

I’ve been hanging around here and posting a little bit for a few months. I’m hoping this will get me more involved with the community!

Overdid it again... so, I'm gonna pour 150 plates of my 3 "exotic" agar mixes and then I'll do another round of standard MEA... lol

I usually pour my plates 100 at a time, but something came up a few months ago, and I stayed outta the lab for a while. I now am sitting on 150 plates that are pretty old. Gonna use LAGM as an excuse to burn through them all. I'll make like 10-15 germ plates of each variety I'm growing.
100 are from just a few months ago, and I made them "wet" for germ plates anyway. The other 50 are about 6 months old, don't look to dry yet. I'll use them for transfers.
I will sterilize all my tools(forceps, tweezers and scissors) today in preparation tho

I do my plates 19 at a time because my wrist is used to a heavy pour of scotch.

Or we like to run about a dozen varieties/isolates at a time. At least I do.
Excessive? yes. wasteful? not really. They all get used, and I fruit each culture at least once. I only slant the cream of the crop.

Its only money... and in all honesty, ill actually use most of them... I know I tend to over do a lot in this hobby but ive found it to be more efficient in the long run... I planned to use 5 plates per variety for germ and the rest as transfers... plus im testing multiple different nute ratios... kinda hard to make tiny batches of lots of things... ya'know?

Needed to replace my filter on the old hood. Got a great deal on a set of filters that didn’t fit just right. So building a new one.
Did this yesterday, finish it tonight. Just for LAGM ‘21.

Oof... already learning... so, the gsw went awesome... with that touch of honey in there the plates smell like honey nut cheerios... fucking awesome! After that, everything went to shit... lol. The first few potato ones poured fine but then I started seeing some sediment... then a lot of sediment... not sure if I over cooked or under filtered or what happend there... the oak water one came out weird... its not normal sediment... it almost looks like brown myc in a brown LC... lol. Gonna run with it for now... prepping standard MEA next.

That's awesome man. So many people, myself included, have been motivated to do things that they may have been putting off just to come together for this. It warms the space my soul once was.
----------------First Update Below---------------Just poured my plates. I'm a bit rusty and shaky in my sterile tek but it'll come back to me soon enough. Couldn't find my media bottles so used a rando glass bottle with a pp5 lid but it was a bit bigger than I'm used to at almost 1L; took longer to remelt and seemed harder to find that sweet spot of liquid yet palatable to the fingertips. As a result some of the plate are gonna be a bit lumpy and overfilled. Normally I would allow plates to cool for 24 hours in SAB before wrapping but I may need to move the SAB between now and next year so I will likely wrap them only an hour or two over cooling. I expect to see this bite me in the ass later but it is what it is.... Equipment and Materials
Agar- 10g agar, 10g Potato Starch, 7g Dextrose
Plates- 100mm x 15mm
SAB- 34" x 18" x 12"
Wrap- 2" wide cheap plastic wrap
