Panaeolus/liberty cap ID Oregon coast
    #27100131 - 12/20/20 11:26 PM (3 years, 1 month ago)

Habitat:
Pasture on Oregon coast, growing out of decaying grass. Pasture grazed by cows but more elk manure than cattle there. Very very wet.
Gills:
Light grayish brown darkening with age to almost black. If they do attach to stem it’s at very top of cap.

Stem:
4-10 cm tall, 2-4 mm wide. Reddish brown, darker towards base. Some lines running length of stalk.

Cap:
1/4-just over 1 inch wide. Striate, seeing gills underneath cap. Hygraphanous. Olive/tan/brown when young getting darker with age. Nipple, some showing more prominently than others

Spore print color:
In progress

Bruising:
There is a darkish hue around the edge of cap on some of them. No real bruising on stem as it’s darkish.

Other information:

Looks similar to liberty cap, what throws me off is dark color so I thought it might be pan. Papillonacieous. However the cap is very striate, and I’ve never seen a striate panaeolus, so fugues id see what y’all though! Found some cyanescens growing in a close by pasture!

Yep, looks to be them! Got my hopes up but I knew something was off and they weren’t liberty caps. Spore print was black
