3lb rye berry bag stalled
    #27102505 - 12/22/20 12:54 PM (3 years, 1 month ago)

I have a 3lb rye berry bag that looks healthy and is all but fully colonized. There is a quarter size spot on the bottom corner of the bag that seems stalled. It’s been about a week and can’t really see anymore new growth. My question is: is it ok to go ahead and spawn this bag with substrate? Thanks any suggestions appreciated.

Maybe try shaking it up? All I know is you don't want to mix it with substrate unless everything is colonized

I feel like its too past the shake stage. I was thinking maybe cut that quarter size area out?

Yeah you could do that, had that happen a couple times when I did brf cakes from spores but I just cut the uncolonised parts out and it went great from there
