ID Request - does blue always mean the business?

Hello lovely people of this forum,
I stumbled across a rather large mushroom which I noticed had heavy blue bruising and when picked up, and a small cut went blue straight away.
Could you please confirm if this mushroom is in fact psychedelic?
I note, the mushroom was already picked off by someone else and was just laying there.

Blue does not always mean the business.
I don't specifically know what mushroom that is, but I'm 98.6% sure there is no chance it's psychedelic.
I typically think any mushrooms that resemble any color you can see on a coral snake (yellow, red, black) are probs to be avoided or consumed with caution. That yellow is a little too yellow.
Very pretty blue on the mushroom you found though.

No, it doesn't.
This is not psychoactive mushroom.

Phylloporus rhodoxanthus aka the gilled bolete or similar...the bluing is due to oxidation

There Are Multiple Boletus Sp That Bruise Blue Like This, As Stated Above, They Are Non Active, But I Find Them To Be Cool To Play With. I Love Slicing Them With A Knife To Watch The Reaction.

Only use the mushroom being blue as a partial identifier if you are suspecting something that looks like a psychoactive mushroom.

Here's a good article on why the mushrooms in the OP stain blue:
