Lucy strain- just a gimmick or?

I have some syringes on the way, one of which they called "the lucy". The claim it's known for intense visuals highly sought after sells out fast yaddayadda whatever. Anyone know if they're just acommon strain or? It does say they prefer horse manure in the description.

In your syringe there will be hundreds of thousands of spores. Some of those spores will have shit genetics and some will be good. Up to you to isolate and find the good genetics on agar before you start your grow. A cube is usually just a cube with the exception of some unique ones like the albino or PE...

Sounds out of my league at this time. I just planned to split the syrynge up between 2- 4qt spawn bags and hope for the best. Figure it's probably just b+ or something?

Thanks I appreciate it. That's pretty much what I figured but they weren't any more expensive than other options

If you are planning to inject spores directly to grain you may end up with high contamination rates, or all contamination.
Look into agar. It's much better to grow spores out on agar where you can ensure you have clean mycelium, make some transfers and go from there.

Hey man thanks for showing me that rabbit hole lol I'm convinced now it's the way to go, but I'm wondering if nocking spawn bags with agar in a SAB is feasible? Can't seem to find much on it

I'd skip the premade spawn bags and learn how to prepare your own grain. If you are having issues finding a pressure cooker, I would go syringe to brf cakes
mushroomvideos.com has great beginner friendly clips on basically everything you need to know

Oh I plan on making my own bags. The filter bags are on the way and I don't want to spend money to buy jars. Guess that's cheaper than building a flow hood if bags won't work in a SAB
