Pressure cooker chipped - damaged

I have three little chips in the bottom of this pressure cooker.. Haven't used it since I noticed them and will probably retire it. Just wondering if anyone has had this happen before? I let the bottom rust a few times causing me to hit it with some vinegar/baking soda/00 steel wool. Dumb stoner shit, leaving jar rings in it for weeks sometimes. I assume that's what did it, it's maybe 6 years old now. I figure ~130 bucks isn't worth the risk of blowing my kitchen up

A few little dings or rust spots chipped out should be just fine to run. I'd run that thing until I hear a tssss one day. It's not going to blow up from that anyway.

Yep. Run that shit until it warps the bottom.
I'm speaking from experience.
EDITED*** Because I felt the need to warn you that you should NEVER purposely run your PC that hard to the point it compromises the integrity. But I personally have fucked up and ran my PC so low on water and so high on temp that I almost exploded it. Do not do that... ever. For any reason.. to anyone.. no matter who they are... for any reason.. what so ever. -Micheal Scott: Dunder Mifflin.

Have any better pictures or are you able to measure the depth of the chips?

The chips are literally so small that those are the best shots I could get of them. maybe a millimeter in depth if that. Fuck yeah I'm going to keep running that hoe then.
Wait, so is a bowed bottom more dangerous? Because I got one of them too that I'm still running.. doesn't sit flat on the floor. I'll post a pic if needed.
Thank you all for the confirmation though, I really appreciate it and I didn't see any posts about a chipped PC on the first few pages of the search so hopefully people will see it if they have the same problem.

Those "chips" are from pitting corrosion that occurs when the natural oxide layer on the aluminum is compromised. In this case it may be chlorine in the water, pH, or even galvanic corrosion from leaving jar rings in the bottom.
They don't look bad enough to make me worry about using it in my kitchen. If you want to slow the progress, make sure to empty and dry the PC when you're done with it and don't leave rusty jar rings in the bottom. Also do not leave anything stainless in it for long periods; aluminum is very prone to galvanic corrosion from contact with it in the presence of moisture.
-------------------- "I thought to myself 'Boy, I'm sure glad there's nobody here to see this because this is exactly the sort of thing that gets people riled-up and they assume you're dying and that something has to be done. Where if you're alone, you know, you either come through it or you die, but in any case you avoid the fuss.'" - Terrence McKenna

Thank you for the info! That's much appreciated. I've definitely stopped letting things sit in my PC for more than a day, I was just being lazy in the early years. I use a stainless steel rack at the bottom of my PC now, works well so far! I did not know that stainless will corrode aluminum in the presence of water, thank you for that.
