Does anybody else trip out on the idea of the 'mushroom controlling you' while tripping?

On many of my mushroom trips, especially because I've only ever eaten them whole, I start tripping myself out by thinking of the mushroom as a life or will of its own that is sort of taking me over. This is of course just a result of the LSD-like chemical inside of them that softens the ego and would make such thoughts possible, but it still makes the trip a bit different than LSD in that regard. Although on stronger trips I do start to personify acid, if that makes any sense. Thinking of it like a tricky being or something lol

I've felt/thought about something along the lines of "I am sharing my consciousness with the mushroom" during trips. I mean, you literally ingested them, they are a part of you now, and for the brief time your chemistry is changed by them, you are a fusion of the two and you share the awareness. It's usually a pleasant feeling for me, but I don't know now if everyone enjoys it.
On LSD I never felt anything similar, it's mostly "HOLY SHIT I'M TRULY ALIVE THIS IS AMAZING WE'RE GODS"

edit: fixed a sentence that was fucked up for some reason and stated the actual opposite of what I wanted to say lmao

being a tryptamine,  psilocybin is closer to dmt than it is to lsd.

mckenna speculated the mushroom is an ancient galactic being that forms symbiotic relationships with all the sentient life it encounters. for growing it and sharing it, our reward is to be put in contact with these other lives and become part of the galactic consciousness.

I have had a sense of something leaving my body during the comedown. It felt painful in way i can't really describe. There is a glaring assumption to be made this though.

I have yet to reach the point where the mushies control me, perhaps one day it can happen but the dosages needed seem to be quite big and I need to work my way up, body effects are severe sometimes...
