Famous 'Acid' Casualties

I realize that the term 'acid casualty' is a little bit unfair because it would seem that everybody that goes crazy after using LSD was predisposed to schizophrenia or something like that. In some cases mental health treatment only exacerbated mental illness and led to a 'casualty'.
That being said it's the main term to describe folks like Syd Barrett, Brian Wilson, Roky Erickson, Skip Spence, and a lot more that I really can't think about. John Lennon seemed to fly a little close to the sun but clearly didn't have any schizophrenia beneath the surface. Do you know of any more cases of this? I find them interesting because I think a lot of these people still have a lot of wisdom and talent even after 'dropping out' of society.
Here's an unfortunate interview of Roky Erickson, singer of one of the best psychedelic bands of all time, the 13th Floor Elevators.
maybe it's not right that this kind of story is fascinating to me. but they are fascinating to many it would seem as a lot of these figures are now legends.

Peter green would probably fall in this category. Damn good guitar player! Ahh I remember hearing the green manalishi when I was younger and it blew my mind! That late 60s early 70s Fleetwood Mac is so good, and so much better than late 70s, soft rock, Fleetwood Mac!

that's for sure who I was forgetting. his story is a more relatable one than most I think, he never seemed incredibly far out to me. just maybe too impressionable for all the acid?
Fleetwood Mac + Peter Green

I've always liked The End of the Game album, with it's chaotic jams, clearly tripping style!
This is probably my favorite Peter Green song! My grandpa showed me this a long time ago and I was terrified haha

Rocky Erickson got electro therapy after pleading insanity for having a joint, hes not an acid casualty, hes a casualty of the drug war.

Quote:
Beginning in the 1980s, Erickson developed a years-long obsession with the mail, often spending hours poring over random junk mail he received and writing to solicitors and celebrities (dead or living). He was arrested in 1989 on charges of mail theft for gathering up mail from the mailboxes of neighbors who had moved; Erickson collected the mail and taped it to the walls of his bedroom. The charges were dropped when Erickson insisted that he had never opened any of the mail.

Nick Cave's son fell off of a cliff while on acid, certainly the acid had something to with his choices while climbing around
