clothes/no-clothes
    #27096424 - 12/18/20 07:00 PM (3 years, 1 month ago)

how is your clothing important to you?

and this is not a nudist thread, it is a question about what your attitude towards clothing is

does your clothing reflect your sense of 'utility/fashion/economics' most?

how have you aquired the wardrobe that you now have, and what do you need, and what do you have that you never wear anymore bc it's terrible for whatever reason

to start as an idea, when i was young i was aware but did not care about being fashionable, as i got older i cared even less but understand what an amazing thing it is to have the right clothing

so what are people's right clothing?

I live out of a suitcase so my clothes are in a really tight rotation, but I'll buy something if the occasion suits it. If I need a sweater or a jacket, I'll go get one.

I do spend some time naked outside every day but I wear clothes most of the time. My style is pretty close to what I would have worn when I was a tree planter. Usually earth tones. Loose drawstring pants, quick dry long sleeve shirts, fleece hoodies. Relatively lightweight and nonrestrictive.

that's a tough wardrobe for choices but if everything there suits it's purpose, it's perfect

if i had to pick one item of clothing above all others, ti would be shoes

idk if shoes are considered clothing but now they are, so

I didn't read the thread before responding. Unfortunately people do judge others on the way they present themselves. It's a sad fact of life, BUT, it has pluses. Ce la vie.  It can help with self preservation at times. Everyone judges to a certain degree. It is innate primal instinct for self preservation and protection. Sometimes you can judge people by the way they dressed and look and that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Clothes are not very important to me and I rarely go shopping for new clothing.

Shirts: Always black with band logo, or some satanic/pagan/occult imagery and various color flannels to go over it.
Hoodies: Currently own 2 black band hoodies
Shoes: supra or van hightop shoes
Pants: 2 cargo pants and 2 cargo shorts. I love and require pockets.

i live in NY and pre-pandemic would be in the city daily, the clothing choices people make run the entire spectrum here fashion to function to wtf

guess i had a question about if people had to choose one last refresh on their clothes, what whould it look like, what do you need or want, and what do you already have that you'll keep wearing and appreciating?

sneeking this in but footwear is part of your clothing, so for myself any good pair of work/hiking boots that are weatherproof, with thick soles (steel toe ftw) and black in color

...most people don't read my threads, i post alone

:blast:

but you do bring up a point about clothes, and absolutely people respond to others clothing

i can start, i never walk right up to people with pants sagging at 2 am on any street corner of any city, ever, bc...
