Looks like someone got lost. OTD and the shitpoasting boards are much further down the list. Few here will care if you wipe your ass with $100 bills and set em on fire after. It’s your money. Just don’t come in here like we even give a shit what you do.

First, using a new needle for everything is enormously wasteful and completely unnecessary. On top of that, they are supposed to be disposed of in a sharps container and taken somewhere that accepts sharps for disposal. How many people are actually doing that?
Second,

I hope you take the time to actually read the article.
Not sure why, but I did. They only tested it against mycelial growth. It was only concluded that those extracts may have potential as a fungal growth inhibitor for food preservation, not as a sanitizer and definitely not as a sterilant of any kind. They also did not test against bacteria.

You can't possibly make that assurance based on your misunderstanding of the article and anecdotal testing.

Also you're not doing it right. You don't strike a lighter every time you need to flame. You should not be using a lighter to flame anyway. Use a torch and leave it on during your work.

Anytime you open anything you are creating a particle dispersion, like a sneeze but not as severe. Particles are generated by everything that you do, this is why you need to be cognizant of every movement or your sterile procedure will be dog shit even though you're convinced that you're gtg. It will create an "It is impossible for a man to learn what he thinks he already knows" type scenario.
This will lead to many threads asking what's up with your grow.
Thank you for this. I am quite cognizant of every movement and object in the SAB being a vector of contams once moved. However the plastic wrappers are dunked in moist bleach water, andn I squeeze the needle out, during which time it is still contained in its plastic needle-holder/cap (whatever you call the plastic cap covering the needle). The needle is only surreptitiously removed to scrap some spores from a print say, and quickly poke it into a petri dish for a second or two, which is then sapidly closed, and the needle discarded never to be used again. However, I am still contemplating doing all this and changing the setup, hence I haven't done anything but recently revamped my SAB, removed the fixed gloves, introduced holes with alcohol swabs for filters (to prevent too much air pressure)... Anyways I guess I will see how it goes with my needles and let you guys know. I guess that would be in a month or two.
