Noob Q: how important is cleanliness when spore printing?

I have 2 PF grows under my belt using syringes, and for my next grow I want to do a few trays as well as Violet's in-vitro tek, and I want to do so using spores from this grow to agar to grain.
I haven't used agar before, but do I understand correctly that if there are contams on the spore print, I can just isolate and transfer clean segments of the agar to a new plate?
Would it be sufficient to just lay a cap on a piece of foil in my glovebox and then just clean my culture from there?
I don't have a rack to set the cap on.

Yeah thatβll be fine.
Or put a shoebox lid upside down and put the foil and caps on it and then snap the shoebox on.

I took a page from Bod's book and let the first spores fall out for 8 hours and then take a second print, done inside a SAB. Search for his tek, no rack required and I never got any contams. And yes you can totally isolate away from contams with agar.

Sick. If only I hadn't dried all the prime first flush fruits before deciding I'm confident enough for agar work. I only have a few tiny guys left growing and gnats got into my sgfc and contammed all 4 of the other cakes one by one over the last week.
My house isnt ideal for sterile technique and theres not much I can do about it, so I'm doing violet's in-vitro tek next time to eliminate most contam vectors.
Also, I'm waiting to hear back from my friend about whether his mom has a pressure cooker he can give me, but if not, can you point me in the direction of the least sketchy PC-less grain/agar teks?
Im sure Bod and Pasty and cron and Matteah probably have one, but any educated insights would be greatly appreciated

Thats a good idea. I made a bunch of.B+ prints that I was gonna send out to anybody that wanted one but I realized that not wearing gloves meant my finger prints were all over the foil. Im paranoid about that kinda thing.

Dude, PLEASE send me one! I'm worried I dont have any good enough fruits left to make a print of my own and all my money has to go into supplies for the next grow so I might not be able to buy any. Hoping a generous angel here can hook a brother up if I cant make a print myself.
Oh wait, I just realized you meant you were worried about incriminating prints, not contamination from your fingers right? Nvm lol, I understand if youre sketched, especially since I dont have much of a rep here, but I would think wiping ecidence off of foil would be pretty easy.
Also SPORE TRADING IS TOTALLY LEGAL. Right...? Am I misimformed on the law?
Sorry not trying to beg for free shit, but if its contams youre worried about, I'll take the risk, and if its fingerprints you're worried about, spores are 100% legal, even more so for trade or donation rather than selling

I sterilize foil pieces in a foil pouch. (Oven on 400Β° for 25 mins). Wipe out a container with iso, and under sterile conditions open the foil pouch, lay out the foils and place the cap.
Wait 24 hours. Remove caps. Replace container lid and let prints dry 24 hours and check there are no water droplets on foil before wrapping.

People grow from wild prints just fine, but take as many precautions as you can.
Also pm me if you need spores and I'll send you a couple prints from reliable genetics (goes for anyone).

When this Rusty Whyte grow finishes up, I'll definitely send you a print if you want it. Trading spores is legal in most states but it's a grey area. To get spores, you have to have fruit. That's the incriminating part.

But yeah man, you'd be my savior if you could, i'd be super grateful and pay it forward.
I've been seeing RWs around here a lot lately and they're absolutely beautiful! *edit* autocorrect

i still always try to maintain as clean of an environment as possible when printing. it sure makes it easier on the ones who use the prints. i mean u aint gtta go crazy with shit but just take care to not b a slob with them handle them with gloved hands and dont hover hands over them among other lil things. just taking a lil extra precaution will make your prints that much better.
