Has anyone heard of "carshield" or other car repair extended warranties?

It sounds too good to be true. I saw a commercial for carshield on the tv so I thought I'd call and find out more detailed info. The reps are retarded as fuck and gave me the same vague information that I saw on the tv. The more I tried getting detailed information, the more resistant the rep was in giving me info without giving him my car information first. I kept asking for general detailed info like how the procedure works but was met with a vague response. I'm going to find them on yelp and whatever other business review website I can find them on and give them a 1 star review for being rude and uninformed.
So I guess you pay a monthly amount and depending on your plan (gold, silver, etc) they cover your entire repair like a transmission repair or an alternator replacement and such. Are these things too good to be true? Does anyone have experience with any of them?

That's what I thought. I have a 22 year old car and most of my repairs are no more than $200. It wouldn't even be worth it for me.

This is for people that buy a 100k range rover that blows up. If u have a 20 year old car re-evaluate how u deal with cars.

I have a really good mechanic that is super reliable and never lies to me and gives me better deals than anyone else. I just wanted to know if it was worth it or not and in my case it is not.

If u got a guy u trust that gonna show u bing bang and the third on ur 20 year old car it cost what it costs dewds got the tools and the skills. What ur talking about is for the sucker dummies forget it. U already pay enough in liability to keep a car like that legally on the road. I would try to get over on them if anything. Those snakes can go fuck themselves. Cars lake that are a dime a dozen or SCRAP. They should be blowing u. Its a car the fuck they think this is?

I gets tons of robo calls that say something like,"We're calling the car owner about your car's warranty", and I can't help but think it's the same people who do this ad. And the fine print says they may use used or "re-conditioned" parts. I smell a scam. These folks aren't in this business to lose money.
