2 weeks without pinning white puffballs all over cake
    #27092021 - 12/16/20 11:42 AM (3 years, 1 month ago)

SWIM birthed the cakes 2 weeks ago. Regular fanning 5 times and misting 2 times a day. The humidity is 99% with temp at 75. What could be going wrong?

:noswim:
For starters you should probably make a proper chamber for cakes. That's neither a SGFC, or a newer HC. You can also trim that foil way down closer to the cakes so there's some actual humid air flowing.

Last, those balls look like pins(blobs) So something is trying to grow.

What's the variety*? Certain varieties* are more prone to "blobbing" or producing mutants. Is it a PE variety by chance?

I also agree that you build a proper FC to tek specs.  It always helps.

Thank you everyone for the responses. The strain is KSSS. SWIM will trim the foil down. These blobs started growing more than a week ago. SWIM thought they were pins too but they just get bigger. Some had stopped growing it seems. SWIM grew a batch of B+ before with the exact method and yielded great results.

Not strain, not species, variety is the proper term. The species is Cubensis. A strain is a pair of mated spores, your grow has many thousands of strains working together. Variety is like a race Homo Sapein:African as Cubensis:KSSS

If you got lucky you got yourself the saucer shaped mutants. That would explain why they look a little blobby. I hope this is the case cause a lot of people try to get this mutant variety and often wind up with normal fruits, myself included.

I'd not mess with them too much and transfer when you get a better chamber built.

Stop swimming. You're not fooling anyone or avoiding self incrimination. It's ok.

Thanks. Noted the swimming part  sorry I’m new to the forum. Some others growing this variety seem to also mention the short fat blob mutant fruits so I hope it is ok. I will get a drill and make some holes
