San pedro preparation questions

Is freezing the cactus for a tea something I should do or does it not make much of a difference? Is there any reason I shouldn't mix Peruvian torch and san pedro for the tea? Is making a tea more potent then eating it raw? I would prefer to eat it raw rather then boiling since I am worried about the heat damaging the mescaline since my boiling setup is very basic and I don't have good control over the heat. I know you are supposed to remove the outer layer and the spine is there any reason you cant eat them as well? Does the spine/outer layer contain any mescaline. Is raw san pedro worse tasting then calea zacatechichi, salvia or Mimosa Hostilis root bark?

Any answers are appreciated

The waxy layer (skin) right on the outside is hard and not easy to digest. Better peell it off. Be carefull not to remove any of the dark green flesh underneath. That's where the mescaline is concentrated in.

Sure you can eat it raw, I did this many times. Despine and deskin, then eat.

No, a tea is not more potent. It's the other way around. Eating the plant raw makes sure that you get all alkaloids, a tea might lose some of the goodies during the extraction process.

No, heat does not destroy mescaline, it's a very stable compound.
