And it was your perfeclt movie, what would it be about? What genre? What actors, music, backdrops, etc, etc..
Have some fun imagining!!

A horror movie called "We Deliver". It's about a HS kid who comes home to find his whole family murdered and cannibalized. When he grows up he is a pizza place king. The secrets to his ingredients are blood based sauce and small body parts for toppings (ears, fingers, toes, eyes etc...). I've had this idea since I was a teenager.

I'm amazed this hasn't been made into a film yet.
It's an incredible story, man. I mean it's almost too perfect. It has everything. A chemist supplying the majority of the country's LSD supply, a complete psycho sociopath (Skinner), a stripper, a kidnapping complete with torture, the DEA.
You'd think that Hollywood would've already made this years ago but somehow, someway there's nothing on this (as far as I know). Not even a documentary.

I normally can't stand anything cannibalism related. The 1991 French language movie Delicatessen is awesome though. Great looking photography and great music. It's not gory though.
Another movie I would want to make would be an exploitation style movie about tree planters. Maybe the bad tree planters who stash trees are killed off by some supernatural enemy personifying the forest. The actors would be actual tree planters playing exaggerated versions of themselves while actually doing the job of planting trees, and in their offtime. And there would be plenty of nudity and a couple of real sex scenes.
I bet you really could make this on a pretty reasonable budget.

I always thought an animated film adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's Dream Quest of Unknown Kaddath would be amazing. Total pshycidelic fantasy land.

Having not watched TV for a year and a half..
I'd make a state of the art Avatar like movie about the goings on of a peaceful tribal society on an alien planet that lives in harmony with nature, no humans playing savior, no death and destruction, it would be a 3 or 4 hour movie that follows the goings on in such a tribe and the world around it.
It would be half story, half documentary like as you follow the goings on there, how they sensibly deal with their versions of some of our issues.
I want it to instill in the viewer such a sense of peace and awe, if possible tears of joy, relaxation and satisfaction - in such a way that it is suitable for all audiences and enjoyable on levels of various ages, genders, ethnic groups, for the left and the right, for people who are above and below average intelligence, putting easter eggs in there for everyone.
I want it to be something that can be intently watched sober or occasionally gawked at on shrooms and I want it to be epic yet peaceful EYECANDY, conveying feelings and conceprs that work medicinally on people.
A really satisfying Alien dream, a paradise consisting of cooperation, love, beauty and harmony.
I want it to work pleasantly healing on most who watch it as well as being entertaining and educational.
A story needs conflict but conflict need not include negativity between people or awful hardships endured. Its not necessary, you can induce dramatic emotion in the viewer through scenes of spectacular splendor and beauty on many levels, give them a hard time not bursting into tears of joy about how awesome it is.
Movies are so, violent, troubled, stressing. That gives you kicks yes but you can be given kicks without frustrating you, instead laying you out in peace and awe.

Mine would be a docudrama titled "2020: A Nothing Odyssey"
It would just be 3 hours of me laying around napping, getting drunk & masturbating through 2020. Throw in a thrilling scene of me eating here & there. Ya know, real life stuff.
Mark Wahlberg can play my part.

I'd make a marginally exploitation-style biker flick with plenty of action. The antagonist biker gang would be from hell and they'd be harvesting souls. Basically a Grindhouse type film style with a plot almost somewhere between Psychomania and a less comical version of My Name is Nobody, but with plenty of cheese and a 70s rock soundtrack with a few anomalies. And tits! Can't forget tits. No clue who would be in it, but it would be cool to have Rob Zombie as one of the evil bikers.

I've a lot of stories in my head, but mostly they need to be in book form, the medium being important to the story for me.
However if I were to get a project rolling, it would probably be an adaptation of Ursula LeGuin's works. Hard to chose one but I think something from the Earthsea series would be great, if done well, keeping in the philosophical spirit of her stories, correct casting (IE not whitewashing it, as almost every character is supposed to be non-white but from bookcovers to the terrible adaptations that have been made, they always get white washed).
It would need to have amazing cinematography and probably the lyrical dreamy pacing of a Terence Mallek film, to match the poetic nature of her writing.
It absolutely would not be successful and if done right most fantasy fans would likely find it boring, but I really want to see it nonetheless

Shit, I'd check it out. I love those books and Le Guin as a person. Funny story, she and Philip K. Dick went to Berkeley High School at the same time, a year apart. Years later they became correspondents with one another and she was a big fan of his work.
The fantasy I'm surprised still hasn't been put on film is Anne McCaffrey's Dragon Riders of Pern series. Although an adaptation seems to be in development limbo at the moment.
