Do all the multivitamins on the market suck or what?

I'm trying to find a multivitamin multi-mineral that I can take but I can't find any that are good. They either don't have all of the minerals, some of them have bullshit like ginseng extract (why the fuck would anyone want ginseng if they are taking a multivitamin?), a lot of them have unnecessary fillers like magnesium stearate and stearic acid and artificial colors. A lot of the gummy vitamins have fucking sugar. Most of them don't even have any iron in them.
Are there any fucking good multivitamin multi-minerals on the market? Fuck me to hell if I have to search high and low just for a simple fucking multivitamin. This shit pisses me off so much.

Nope sorry. Again there is no iron, the calcium level is too low, way too much vitamin c, zinc level is too high for daily consumption, and I don't need spirulina or any of those other plants.
And it doesn't list the inactive ingredients.

Well it turns out you can't take iron with calcium and there are other combos that make certain vitamins and minerals unbioavailable.

Also, iron poisoning is a surprisingly common cause of death for children, which is why multivitamins rarely have iron in them.

Life Extension vitamins are great... The company operates their facility following strict cGMP guidelines and performs assay testing on everything they make... If you want a copy, call them and give them the lot number and they email you the report. They also have an FDA certified lab that performs blood analysis... Keep one thing in mind, a good vitamin will never have "a little bit of everything" in it because they assume you're eating a balanced diet and getting those "missing" requirements set by the FDA... These limits are low... Vitamin standards followed today were established in 1933 I think... Food was a whole hell of a lot more nutrient dense than the shit they feed us today...
Based on what I've read these guidelines are ridiculously low... I had to laugh when you said the vitamin c in one was too high!!! I know people who take up to 10,000 mg a day in divided doses!11 I've been taking 5,000 in divided doses for about two years and haven't died yet. Vitamin C is critical for many biological processes...

Yes but isn't it better to get vitamin c from food? I heard asorbic acid on its own is not good enough. Vitamin c is a spectrum and asorbic acid is only one part of the spectrum.
there is so much conflicting information on vitamins and minerals. Plus I drink a lot of tea so I have to keep that in mind when I'm ingesting my vitamins and minerals. Green, oolong, black, and now puerh.

vitamin C is L-ascorbic acid. Which means it is water soluble, so anything your body doesn't need you just piss out. So, it's pretty safe to just take stupid amounts of vitamin C. Linus Pauling was pretty famous for that, taking somewhere between 10-20 grams of vitamin C per day. Then again, Linus Pauling also thought vitamin C cured cancer. Unfortunately, he died of prostate cancer, so... yeah. Genius chemist, not much of a nutritionist.
Tea has almost no nutritional value. like, maybe 1-2% of some of the B vitamins you need on a daily basis per cup. Those are also water soluble, so you'll also piss out excess vitamins. On the other hand, B vitamins make your pee orange. Niacin, or vitamin B3, will also cause your skin to turn red. Not permanently, just...you know, until you piss out the excess.
Oh, and yes, as a general rule of thumb, getting vitamins from food is better than from a multivitamin. All the other stuff in food helps digestion and absorption.

Well, yeah, it's an acid. Exposure to excessive acids can cause ulcers, which canker sores are a type of. Almost like a mild chemical burn.

I suggest that you look for a Vitamin supplement only, and take your minerals separately at a different point in the day to be sure that they get properly absorbed.

Without clicking, I know Asante is recommending Source Naturals- Life Force. I subscribe to this.
I was in the nutraceuticals industry for 5 years. No offense, but Natures Way, Centrum, and Life Extension are no good.
Currently use Garden of Life. Rainbow Lite is great.
Regardless, be sure it is whole food grade or you're not absorbing. And no gummies

Ok thanks. I ended up getting the Rainbow Light Men's One multivitamin.
The one Asante recommended has fillers for the coating of the pill and it also has needless gingko biloba which might interfere with anything I take currently or plan on taking in the future, including psychedelics.

The pills are coated with a fatty layer to reduce oxidation of them while sitting on the shelf.
Ginkgo Biloba increases blood flow to the brain, is a natural nootropic and antioxidant.
It has no adverse interactions with psychedelics.

Some of the ingredients for the coating of the pill, the inactive ingredients, cause liver damage. Magnesium stearate isn't really good.

If you eat a varied healthy diet, vitamins are worthless and not only that resaearch shows them to be likely harmful.

iHerb has a 15% off New Years sale and 25% off promo code if you never ordered there.
The multi I mentioned, Source Naturals Life Force Multiple 180 TABLETS, No Iron is fairly affordable there.

I've been shopping on iherb for like more than 10 years and those bitches have NEVER given me a promo code for myself but they constantly send me promo codes for other people as first time customers.

Unfortunately as a basically unregulated industry, you don't know what you are getting, if the dosages are even correct, and let's not get into the uptake issue. Basically if you don't have a deficiency, there is no need. I had a horrible Vitamin D deficiency and was prescribed a massive dose once a week for 3 weeks to correct it. Vitamin D is probably the most common deficiency amongst adults in NA and possibly the whole northern Hemisphere. Get a little sun, drink some milk and you are fine. Note severe vit D deficiency is listed as less than 10ng/mL blood concentration, I was at 8.
But that was pharma grade vitamin D, not your unregulated over the counter garbage. Really, trying to eat a more varied diet (more color in veggies! easy rule to remember) will cover all your vitamin and mineral needs. If you think your lacking or deficient its worth getting a fasting blood serum test done.

I've heard that iodized salt does NOT have enough iodine.
Anyway, potato SKINS also have zinc.

NewChapter Multivitamins are the best ones on the market, hands down. Fermented, bio available ingredients - can even take without food. Absolutely the best.
