Die hard is not a Christmas movie in my eyes.. this does not mean it's a bad movie though..

Actually, I only remember the first one and the ps1 die hard game. Or was it sega... I don't remember.

Not all kids can watch krampus, but it's def a Christmas movie.

I guess my thing is just because it's on or around Christmas does not mean it's a Christmas movie. Just because there's a Christmas party does not make it a Christmas movie.

I feel like for a movie to be labeled a Christmas movie the main plot has to cover Christmas and at least 60% of the movie needs to be Christmas.

I get what you mean but the Christmas theme (and references) were throughout in Die Hard, right up to the end when they even closed with the final credits with "Let it Snow". When the limo driver picked him up from the airport they listened to a Run DMC Xmas song in the car. John McClane (Bruce Willis) even killed one of the dudes and sent his corpse down the elevator with a Santa's hat and "ho ho ho" written on his chest to the Christmas party for everyone to see

That has to count for something

Here's an article that counted at least 50 Christmas references in the roughly 2 hour film.

https://nofilmschool.com/Die-Hard-Christmas-Examples

That's a lot of Christmas references for a non-Christmas movie. True the main plot is about a heist and a lone rogue off duty cop who takes on an army of thieves by himself but the only reason they were there in the building was because of his wife's company's Christmas party...so I therefore deem Die Hard a fully legitimate Christmas movie :kingcrankey:
