This was a 5 lb grow bag that I decided to fruit in a tub for hopefully better flushes. The mycelium seems to keep growing fluffy and stringy instead of condensing into knots and pins. I have four 1/2” micro taped holes And have been opening the tub daily for more fresh air. The Temps are very consistent. And light exposure 12:12 Hoping the pics will help someone identify the problem, if any at all? I realize by now that time and patience seems to be the usual answer. Still wouldn’t mind input. Thanks to all !

Lack of FAE wont help, take the tape off yours holes. What temp is the room its in? Remember inside the block it will be hotter.
The uncolonized patches don’t look great. Search the forum for contamination guide what to look for.

That's one fabulously ghetto setup.
I'd fruit that gaint block inside your tub but pit it out on a shelf. Using that zip up chamber for a shroom grow like that is dumb.

Need someway to get some air exchange going in there. That spot that's completely uncolonized doesn't look good but you should be able to tell by the smell if its good or bad.

The tub needs a way to exchange air. Monotubs use holes filled with polyfill. The fluffiness usually happens when mycelium needs more fresh air.

That’s just my Martha chamber that I’m not using right now.. I thought it would hold heat better for the tub

You know how the spawn bags have the white patch on them? That's for air exchange, is there such a thing on your tub?

That spot was due to being impatient and fruiting before full colonization. It doesn’t smell like contam at all and the mycelium is noticeably closing the patch up more every day. I moved the tub out of the tent and removed the tape from the holes. Hopefully more fae will help. The part that I don’t understand is how I could have fruited directly in the bag it colonized in. I would have thought there would have been WAY less fae doing it that way.

That should work. Just air it out once or twice a day. Should be fine if it smells fine. You can keep it in the tent btw.

Ya I wasn’t quite sure after reading some of the earlier comments...😕 I appreciate all the help zMan. In your opinion, could the tub staying inside the tent with tape off of the holes be sufficient enough? Or maybe trying a day or two outside the tent to see if more air flow changes the look of things?

MP tape allows for plenty of FAE. Leaving it in the tent is fine.

Generally you want a fan that's moving air around the room running but not pointed directly at the tub(s). That being said if you don't mind airing them out once or twice a day the fan shouldn't matter much.
