Help with identifying on Kauai / Hawaii 1

I’m stuck on Kauai for a while and going a little stir crazy away from my mycology work back home. Today I stumbled upon some specimens that reminded me of cubes so I snapped some pics of them and the others that I found on trails. Let me know if anything looks interesting.

Wow, really didn’t expect any replies to this thread. To wake up the next day and have everything identified I’m pretty blown away. Thank you guys so much, I’ll dial in my hunt a little better and let you know what I find.

Try hunting in pastures, there's some interesting psychoactive species to be found in Hawaii

Try hunting in the jungle on decaying wood, there is much to be learned about the macro fungi biodiversity in these isolated island habitats. You can definitely find some pans in the pasture but I feel there is something much more important hiding there.

Yeah, that's true, just thought I'd let OP know since they seemed interested in P. cubensis based on their initial post

Isolated jungle habitats are the wet dream of any Mycologist, would be a crime if I hadn't made the suggestion.

Might have to trespass, but yeah, cow pastures are where the active species are at.

You can definitely find Pans without trespassing. There are lot of well fertilized lawns, golf courses and landscaped areas around hotels and shopping centers, there is also atleast one beach with cattle on it/close by. You’re more likely to find them from Kapaa, inland and/or northward; south of Lihue stays fairly dry but the north shore is always wet. I don’t know how it is anymore but there used to always be “hippies” camped out at anahola and a few of the other public campgrounds, if you’re really struggling, I would bet if you talked them up or bought a shell necklace or something, someone would be able to point you in the right direction..

Thanks for the additional tips. Don’t worry, I have no shortage of perfectly dried magic capsules, my quest for a Kauai specimen is more of a side-journey for a keepsake. I’m still looking, even hopped a small fence into a goat / cow pasture but came up empty. Thought I would still share some great tropical mushroom pics in the meantime.

Nah man, probably something like lyophyllum or something. I dont think there's any known gyms that are pure white.
