First time grow, APE taking too long to fruit?

Hi people, it’s my first time growing and i think i messed something up.
I’m growing penis envy using the BRF method. I have six jars going, and they all took a really long time to coloni\ze (5-7 weeks). I think i had the temp too low for the first couple of weeks.
I birthed the jars about two weeks ago (after dunking for 24 hours), and haven’t seen any sign of pinning. They humidity around the box is only at about 40% but i have a humidifier going so I’m not sure what else to do. I also have a heater and a fan on them and spray and fan about twice a day. They get ambient light from the window during the day. The temp is kept between 70 and 80 degrees.
Any tips? Anyone know what i may have done wrong? I’m worried maybe the mycelium is drying up.
Also, one jar had a single mushroom start growing inside the jar during colonization but i took him off cause he was bruised.

You shouldn't have a fan and humidifier with an sgfc. Check the stickied tek list and look at the sgfc directions to make sure you're doing it right.

Ah ok, I turned off the fan but I don’t think having the humidifier in the room could hurt. I may have dried them out a little with the fan (it wasn’t directly on them)...I don’t think I was misting them enough. If I keep them moist should they start trying to fruit again?

As long as they aren't dried out and the perlite wet they'll try.
Idk how much the room humidifiers gonna matter. You can run an sgfc in a desert. Long as its not hooked to tub I dont see an issue.
You did make things a little tougher on yourself I think. Pe types can be a little more fickle. Takes a little longer and really likes a casing.

Dude. Go to ORIGINAL PF tek please. A standard SGFC would not require or benefit from a humidifier, nor would be able to function properly with one.
Your humidifier is going to hurt your operation. Stop using it immediately makes sure your hole size and spacing is good and stop over thinking it.

Tub humidifiers screw grows.
If he's running a humidifier in his room for comfort and not distorting airflow, I dont see the issue.

If you introduce and maintain proper fruiting conditions. There is zero moisture on the walls of your FC.

There’s no moisture on the inside. It’s just dry in my house, 20% humidity or so. The humidifier gets it up to 40 in that room but I don’t mind ditching it if it would help.

The fan dried everything out. Thats your main problem. Read the link I gave you and it'll explain a lot of the issues here. Double check your sgfc setup, perlite, and make sure cakes feel full of water. The humidifier does nothing for your grow. Ambient rh isn't a big factor for sgfc.

Ok thanks, I turned it off. If they’re too dry should I dunk again or just continue as normal? I guess I’m not sure if I need to fix this or just calm down and be patient. Sorry, for some reason I’m really concerned about these shrooms babies 😂😅 thanks for the help so far!

Are they as light as when you birthed them, or closer to the weight after dunking? If excessively dry, place the cakes on a saucer of water overnight to rehydrate, and maintain an adequate misting and fanning schedule thereafter.

We can't be certain without handling it. You need to make a judgment call. A cake without water is going to feel like an empty glass. If it feels light and empty, its probably worth a little dunk. If it feels like its full of water, just leave it be.
/e yea bottom water could be an option to. Good suggestion.

The first one feels pretty dry. He has about 4 days on the other five jars, so I’m going to dunk him tonight. I’ll leave the other ones alone.
Didn’t mean to sound arrogant. I know I know nothing, so I’ll listen to anyone on here.

I had a ape cake that looked good but was taking a long time to fruit. People told me to just be patient. I had that one ape cake and 4 golden teacher cakes. Then one day while fanning I was smelling a faint foul smell. I smelled all the GT cakes. Then smelled the ape. It was the ape. So I took it out and buried it in the yard. Just make sure of the smell and be patient

Hey dude you’re fine don’t apologize for asking questions ever... some people here just don’t honestly remember their first time and how it felt. I still remember.... I never did brf or sgfc... BUT I can tell you that the fact that you care so much if they make it or not will eventually turn you into a great mushy grower... just keep coming back and asking whatever you need to. Also In my experience I’ve never “timed” my fanning.... I would either leave a fan in the room oscillating a good distance away from my fruiting chamber( the idea is to circulate the air, not cool down your babies or a lot of the time I don’t use one at all.... I hope you can bring them back to life that’s a great feeling good luck bud!
-------------------- Hope I can help & Thanks for the help!

You don't need a fan or do fanning. SGFCs have a natural current from the bottom up, too much air current from a fan disrupts that. Fanning a tub directly is an older idea that just isn't needed, water will evap on it's own.

Well, I turned off the fan and the humidifier. I’ve been misting and fanning the traditional way. Today there’s a new odor in the box. It’s not horrible or overpowering, but it’s not the usual smell. Here are some photos!
