So I have a lot of jars in circulation. Can you reuse polyfil jars lids that were from contaminated jars? I mean they’re getting PCed anyways? Much rather do that then take thebpolyfil out and make new ones, I moved and can’t find my polyfil and the roads are slick this morning

I mean, I wouldn't reuse the polyfil. Clean the jars and lid, those are fine.

I’ve reused plenty of polyfill lids from contaminated jars, just make sure they are still pulled tight. I’ve lost some jars because I didn’t recheck the polyfill before the PC cycle and it had come loose/failed to function as a proper filter. I would just pull it out and then stuff it back in and then PC. The cycle will kill any contaminate spores lingering on the lids

If my jars had contamination I soak the cleaned jars and lids in a disinfecting bleach solution just to be safe.

That’s not necessary and is not making any difference on whether your next sterilized grains will become contaminated, but do whatever you want to give you “peace of mind”
I usually just rinse out my contaminated jars to get rid of mold spores just cause it makes the next batch look gross but that’s probably not even necessary because everything will get killed in the PC cycle

You can reuse your lids indefinitely, they get sterilized each time you use them. Replace the polyfil when it literally is falling apart upon touch which shouldn't happen until after 100+ PC runs.
