Small collection of what I got right now only recently got into cigars I'm a big fan of the Punch's and Hemingway short story's Bone shakers I was also a fan of. I'd like to hear what you guys like to add some to my list. Discuss.

I have a love/hate relation ship with cigars, they led me to about a years worth of ruining my lungs with tobacco smoke after I was quit for 3 or 4 years, probably shouldnt touch them again, they just lead me to smoking cigs, I gotta quit vaping too which is a seemingly daunting task, nicotine is a fucking joke, Ive quit nicotine 3 or 4 times in the last couple years by tapering the nicotine in my vape till its zero, but then I smoke cigars and it leads to cigerettes then I switch back to the vape and its a cycle, currently im at 3mg vape, and instead of tapering back down to zero like I have the last 4 times, Im going to try to switch to gum to break the habit of smoking, if I can hook myself on the gum instead of the vape, I already know the nicotine addiction I could break in my sleep

Don't know much about them, but I'll puff on one every now and then. Only when it's cold. I have a few punches in the other room. They're good enough for me. Cubans when I take a trip to Mexico, but I can't tell the difference between the real thing and imitations.

Perdomo cigars are good. I'm partial to Padron cigars. I got my brother a Padron Presidente for fathers day and he really liked it. I painted up a Padron cigar box with their signature hammer and sent it back to them so they sent me a cigar sampler. I even got to speak on the phone with Jorge Padron himself. Stand up people, stand up company.
Cohibas right from Cuba are amazing. Best cigar I ever smoked.
My brother smokes these Baccarat's the Game cigars as a daily cigar. They're kinda cheap, though....don't recommend.

Best daily cigar is a muniemaker. The 5 packs are even good to grab at gas station late night or maybe during a rough day if when maybe your whiskey drunk and wanna smoke a few cigars.. I bet it would be harder to find outside of CT tho. Especially a fresh 5 pack at a gas station.

Not the first time I've heard that name mentioned, so I'm noting that!

This is exactly what I was looking for; an option for a small pack of "back up relaxation" cigars that won't take 45-115 minutes to smoke lol. Those look ideal for a shorter sesh out on the deck after a long day!

So many others seem to find it really enjoyable so I’ve tried quite a few times to like cigars but unless they are stuffed with weed I’ve never been able to enjoy them. I like chewing on them as it adds to the flavor of some liquors but I’ve never been able to develop the taste for smoking them. I’ve smoked a couple of different kinds don’t remember the names but maybe I just haven’t found a good one yet? Can’t say I haven’t tried but still don’t really see the appeal🤷♂️. I’d prefer pipe tobacco..

Hey all, I am brand new to the site. Very jealous of the cigar prices in the US (I'm in Canada). I am a daily cigar smoker in the warm weather but come winter I pack it in. Likely a good break I usually take back my limit (and my wife's) when we go tropical, generally seeking out the small producers to go out and see their grow. Such an expensive habit I usually smoke whatever garbage sticks I can get here for $5-$10 a stick and try to go through my good stuff slowly.

Very occasionally I loved to puff a cigar, but any form of nicotine is over for me, because the moment my brain senses pyridylpyrrolidines its going to scream it wants cigarettes, at two packs a day.
Right now I feel zero craving, zero desire, zero problem, but if I willingly ingest nicotine my brain toggles back into cigarette addict mode - which it was for 25 years.
I finally gotten so much healthier, not going to slide back into that cardiovascular torture, thats murder for the lungs and kicks you up 30 lbs when quitting, too.
Nooo f*cking thanks, not gonna suck on Philip Morrises thing.
Not that kinda fag, sorry.

I’ve never smoked a real cigar (we used to smoke swisher sweets and black & milds in high school)
Can anybody recommend a decent and common cigar I might find at a local shop, that I should try for the first time? Or should I just pick one that looks cool and see what happens?

Look at my picture I just posted I've tried most of those and they're pretty good, punch classico and punch rare corojo are great I hear anything from punch is pretty good, arturo fuentes Hemingway short story's are also pretty good especially for a beginer. If you what something strong Boneshakers are decent.

Although my shroomery detective work has concluded that this is not a puppet ov the (thankfully)inactive poster Ant89, greenladel exhibits the same type ov incredibly ignorant thinking that he liked to annoyingly spew in the grand cigar thread. I puff cigars daily in my parked car during winter and on my 2nd floor balcony during the warmer climes, and in both settings I prefer to NOT be seen or bothered by others. I smoke cigars for the diverse array ov transitive flavors they provide and the enhancement ov left brained cognitive acuity for reading/writing or, simply, thinking(perhaps you need a cigar!). Also, while your opinion on the taste ov cigars is subjective, and I'm sure that you've tried many good and properly maintained cigars , your statement that cigars do not provide a nicotine rush is often false. There are many strong cigars out there, trust.

I’m gonna pick some up for New Years. This thread kinda sparked my interest for some reason.

I got a cuban cigar for christmas but I don't know when I'll get to smoke it.

I was in Dominican Republic in 2002 and there was a big ass cigar shop near the hotle i was staying in. Dutchman named Jim operated it. I walked it and they gave me a bunch of sample cigars. I lit a non branded "bundle" dominican cigar and immideatly fell in love with it. It was lovely.

Thats the thing theres a certain technique and pace to proper cigar smoking. Even myself as a beginner took a few sticks to really refine it and I still don't know all the subtle intricacies and tricks these true aficionados posses. I'm simply not that dedicated to cigar smoking. Its quite enjoyable on a few times during this time of year type of basis. Any more than that and things start to get gross and detrimental. I think many peoples first cigar is often overly strong in nicotine and flavor. Its important as a beginner to pick cigar with a mild tobacco and smooth connecticut shade wrapper. The ones above seem like a decent choice. I think I've smoked a baccarat but I'm not familiar with the other one at all. You just want a nice full bodied yet approachable cigar but something with some degree of quality to the build so you can reliably take your time and enjoy a comfortable pull and smoke.

Also I dont shame anyone for putting down a cigar and then coming back to relight it as long as they use a proper technique. As far as the ends getting gross thats also a matter of both technique and personal preference. My uncle used to habitually smoke those muniemakers and chew on them. I noticed at a certain point idk if he was drinking heavier at the time but he went from baking to really chewing on em and he would just have all these chewed up cigar butts all over. He stopped doing that after couple years but he still chews the stinky expencive stogies when we have the Christmas cigars toward the end of the smoke. I hat that chewing or really wetting the tip and sucking juices. Idk how he used like eat those cigars all the time he musta been whiskey drunk or summin idkf

Why do people like to stick most of the entire cigar in their mouths before they smoke it the first time. Seems kinda gay.

Probably so nobody else will bogart your cigar if you lick it all over first.

We don’t really talk about our club to keep out the riff raff
And it’s less of a club and more of a gang. A gang of hard licking cigar smoking mofos.

I smoked the baccarat last night. I couldn’t wait to try one out.
It was pretty good. I thought it tasted great actually, especially the first half. I was getting cedar and leather and all kinds of flavors, really tasty actually. I re-lit it twice and yeah kinda tastes like an ash tray when you re-light.
I was surprised by how much of a nicotine buzz I can get from oral smoke. You can really feel the smoke coat your mouth and you get that tingle almost like you’re chewing tobacco. I think a part of it is just absorbing nicotine through the lips where they touch the cigar too.
I have always liked a nicotine buzz but will never go back to inhaling cigarette smoke.
I think for a special occasion kind of thing cigars are perfect. I couldn’t get into doing it regularly and I would not want to. But once in a while it could be pretty nice.
