Pins showing yellowish tissue on top. Genetics or...?

Has anyone seen P. cubensis pins starting with this yellowish cap on top of them that either slowly differentiates into more of a the brown color or just stays there?
Mind you this is from a multispore grow on wheat to coir.
They seem to be developing at a normal pace and about 80% of them present with this morphology.

I'm curious to see how these will develop.

More examples of pins with the odd yellow tops:

It's looking like the brown part grows faster and as it develops the yellow one will become speckles or something odd on top of it. Several pins already have the yellow cracking on the side as it looks like the bottom is developing faster.

Seems like genetics. You should clone them and take sporeprints to save this kind of cubensis.
Looking very nice, would grow them just for that nice look.

If it actually develops into something nice I'll clone it for sure and try to stabilize it. Quote:

If they keep developing into something interesting I'll definitely do that.

They're B+ indeed! Got any pictures of what they become later? I've never seen these before.
Edit: ha, just found a bunch of threads like this https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26130676#26130676 after you mentioned it was happening to B+ these days.
This one https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/24379553#24379553 had tan colored blobs on top of the caps that looked exactly like what I'm seeing.

The little tumours continue to grow. I picked a pin to make a cross section and noticed the tissue at the top also stains blue really strongly. The whole pin basically turned into blue ink while handling.

A friend of mine sent me a photo of his B+ the other week. Same tissue formations were on his. They turned out just fine.

I showed puctures in the facebook group last year of a clone that was doing this in some tubs and not doing it in others, was kind of weird because it was either the whole tub doing it or not a single one lol

So, apparently this was a really bad luck with MS. Today most of the small pins were presenting as aborts. A few had caps open starting to deposit spores.
I picked samples from both the mycelium ball on top of a mushroom and from a single non-mutant that was growing in the back and put them on agar. I'll now grow them side by side and see what happens.
I didn't weight it but it yielded probably less than 100g fresh on the whole flush from 2 quarts of wheat and 4 of coir. I didn't expect much anyway since I was just looking for a few specimens to clone and start a monoculture so I won't be disappointed here.
To the dehydrator they go:

There's another tray just full of aborts. The second tub I had from different jars but same spores is also showing signs of the same myc balls on the caps, I'll watch it to see if any non-mutant comes from it as well.
Found another user on Discord that got spores from the same vendor and same strain also presenting the same issue
