Shroom tea packets?

Would it reduce the potency in any way if instead of dropping the shrooms right into the boiling tea and straining it out 20 minutes later that I use a shroom packet made out of a coffee filter in the tea and take it out after 20 mins? I want to do this for convenience reasons and microdosing/macrodosing.

possible some of the pyscho actives will adhere to the paper or tissue. I also just say boil for like 10 minutes max 20 is a little excessive imho.

Do you think it would be enough to create a noticeable loss in potency? I don't really care if a miniscule amount of psilo adheres to the filter

Hey man, so this is in my experience, so take it with a grain of salt. I grew some golden teachers out of two cakes. Took 3.8g dry in a teabag, didn't feel much. The same day I took 2.5g in a tea, but I just threw the powdered shrooms in and then strained them out, and it hit considerably harder. Personally, I won't put the powdered shrooms in tea bags anymore. I wanna try with tea infusers (metal) and see how that goes.

I had a similar experience but just with regular tea where the water got much less colored. I think its because the mishroom material is so tightly packed the water cant really get at it. If you grind it fine but not powder you can just let it float freely and stir a bit too and then filter out after, thats pretty strong. If you wanna up it a notch you can even add some lemon juice, the acid further dissolves and activates the active ingredients apparently. Dont really understand why exactl but its even a bit stronger. Id generally warn with tea its more of a rush and fastee onset and stronger but also a bit shorter compared to just ingesting mushroom material, esp if its not ground too fine.

that's hard to tell no one here has a lab they can send mushrooms to find the psyco active amounts. each mushroom is most likely different in active compounds.
I have done lemon, tea, basic water, liquid extraction, just eating them, honey, peanut butter, and pills. I find lemon to be the one that hits the hardest and first. I would say tea and liquid extraction is also close behind lemon.
But the main difference, this is not scientific just what i have noticed lemon/tea bring you up fast and about a 4 hour trip. The trip appears to last longer by eating them ruffly 4-8 hour trip.

You could do the boil in bag method as the actives are water soluble. Boiling for longer will likely help ensure the potency, and of course certainly reduce the quantity necessary to drink. I like a one sip kinda shot. Add lemon and honey after the boil.

Boil the mush in the tea bag. The only issue I can think of is that the material doesn't spread as much throughout the solution, which us of course the point. I theorize this will lower the rate at which the actives are pulled and so by boiling for longer than just 10 minutes you will still pull enough. You can only really overdo it if you run out of water and then burn the residue. If you can boil water then this should be easy enough. If you don't feel it in like an hour then you could still eat the mushrooms.
