The MushroomCube from noob to just above noob

So this all began 2 years ago around Thanksgiving. I eat half an eighth and im going to start growing like I always wanted 2. Lol well with 50 hours a week and the fam its basically not going to happen right. Wrong. Do half the wrong research and boom automation in mushroom cultivation the mushroomcube. Now as any rational person would I purchased it immediately. With tax and shipping like 140. It came with 12 bfr jars and some verm so for someone who didn't do the right research I was way ahead of the game. Anyway got a syringe yadda yadda yadda 6 weeks later I got 4 viable cakes for fruiting and 2 that are like half done. The rest never took but 3 months of neglect later 2 more did take and fruit. So now back to the cube. I can't believe I'm going to say this but I loved that thing. It was so stupid proof for a noob it made me feel like I could do anything in the world of mycology. Which is really why I'm writing this. Now that I'm doing agar and isolations, making spore syringes for my pals, and generally upping quality and yield I look back and think where's the store where I bought the balls to get this far. And it has to be the mushroomcube store. Now after a year or so with monos, outdoor beds, and a soon to be Martha setup I must look back and post this confection of a 30 something who got got but kinda is thankful for it. If your wondering if u can do it then let this dirty laborer tell u noobs its only a admittedly unwise purchase away. Imo brf is a waste of time now but back then it changed everything for me in a good way and the piece of mind that I could always blame mushroomcube helped me tremendously. If your a noob keep researching. Theres so many teks out there 1 is bound to be your fondly remembered mistake. If I could do it again I wouldn't cause I know better now but thank u mushroomcube you'll always be mine

I'm just leg pulling. If you're getting mushrooms, in a manner that suits your lifestyle then that's awesome in my book!

I've spent money and time basically trying to make something similar that doesn't grow any mushrooms, so you won!

I started out with something similar from a different company. It was worse than just a waste of money, because it led me to spend 2 months dicking around with brf cakes, aquarium pumps, etc.
For what a kit costs, one could buy a cheap pressure canner, spawn and substrate supplies, a case of canning jars, and a few shoeboxes and actually produce more than a token amount.
My cat does like to lay on the heating mat, though, so it's not a complete loss.

Rofl, is it good enough to keep your cat from laying on your laptop if you have one?

That's funny. No.
I looked at the kit grow in your signature. That would be a great product to start with. Totally different from the kind of kits we have here in the USA.
And I didn't mean to say that brf cakes are a waste of time, but the jars of (mainly) contaminated crap I got were. Am I not supposed to mention midwest grow kits by name? Well, I did...screw'em. save your money.
Thankfully, with the help of the shroomery, I eventually got on the right track.

Yea the bfr that comes with the kits are horrible. Im guessing the 50% success rate i had was common. Mine was to dry i think looking back.
