Shoe insoles, any recommendations?

I'm morbidly obese with decreased mobility, for me every step matters just like for an athlete.
I invested in quality hiking shoes and in them I use rubber support insoles for extra cushioning and bounce to my footsteps.
Hikers and runners, got any specific recommendations for very good insoles?
I'm happy with mine but if theres something way better, color me interested.

Go buy a sheet of memory foam, lay your insoles on top and trace/cut them, then install... You get many many pairs for a fraction of the cost! If you want them permanent, but spray contact cement, spray inner shoe and material and pat them together until it sticks!

A Biden win, the election is finally over Reality sets in I’m feeling sober Now that Donald Trump is finally gone, by using the Virus as a pawn We are living in political prison Land!

Forced vaccination, is the only way, You will do this, because that is what I say, In the land of the free, I ask how the F**K can this be? We are living in political prison Land!

I get incredible almost unbearable foot pain while standing still and i've tried so many different insoles in my life and literally the best option for me was a basic, cheap memory foam insole. You have to replace them frequently but it was worth it for me, i was able to work an fourteen hour shift without collapsing or needing to stop.
This was before i went to a doctor btw... now i have custom made ones that feel amazing but it costed me hundreds. If that's not an option for you like it wasnt for me at the time a good piece of memory foam is what i recommend!

Maybe not what you're after, but you might be interested in memory foam slides (adidas et al make them). I can't get enough of them.

The kind of insoles (and possibly inserts as well) you need, depend on what part of your feet are giving you the most trouble. I just ordered some inserts specifically for the ball of the foot, which have been killing me working 10-11 hour shifts. The reviews said they tend to not stay in place and it works better to put them under the insole.
Even though parts of you may be in pain, the rest of you will feel better with the exercise. Good luck.

For support hikingwise I like superfeet but they don't have much bounce as they do structure and support.

Buy Dr. Scholl's orthotic insoles from Walmart, using the machine designed top to pick one for your feet.
I have been doing this for several years. The orthotic insoles cost $50 a pair, and allow me to get a year out of a pair of running shoes running 15 to 18 miles per week from March to November, with no pain or discomfort. Well worth the price.
After a year is up, and I buy a new pair of running shoes ($70 so far), I change my pair of running shoes into a pair of walking shoes. Much cheaper than a trip to the orthopedic surgeon!

Surely I can figure out a way to grow custom-fitted insoles for my feet from mycelium and save myself $50 a pop !!!! Any ideas on how to make this work ?
