I love musical films, especially when the music is really good. The Blues Brothers, Across the Universe... heck, even Grease and Little Shop of Horrors.
Anyone else down with musical films? What's your favourites?

Before Depp ruined his rep, I would say Sweeney Todd is quite good. Les Miserables was pretty decent too.

Well at least you used the word heck.
Pink Floyd The Wall hands down.
Can't relate to Roger Waters dad dying in the war but so many other songs about women and life I can.
Mock if you wish. I just get life a lot better now.

Yeah The Wall is a fantastic music film, it's been a lot of years since I watched that one. I'd forgotten about it.
I generally don't like "musicals", Sound of Music, Mary Poppins and Les Miserables can go suck a dick. There's been some awesome suggestions on musical films here though.

The Rutles is a great parody of The Beatles, provided you're sort of a Beatles fan. Done essentially by Monty Python + cameos from George Harrison, Paul Simon, Mick Jagger, John Belushi, Dan Ackroyd, Bill Murray, etc. I like to watch it while I'm coming down off acid because it just looks like how The Beatles look on acid lol
