It makes sense that the ones in wales and cornwall are some of the most silly because of welsh and coornish language influences.
I just noticed one says Ogopogo which is what the natives in BC call a lake monster that supposedly lives or lived in a lake over there so some are probably made up.

This is not a joke, but funny..
I was at the pharmacy just now picking up an antibiotic, the pharmacy assistant went through explaining the side effects, she said it could cause some diarroea, and went on about countering that with probiotics when I serenely interrupted her with an empathic: "aww, a bit of diarroea would be welcome.." and she, totally relating, like: "Yeah I know right!" then startled a bit and regained her professional composure.
A brief mutual empathic agreement between two people who prefer shit to just flop out of them like cows instead having to unscrew rusty bolts at the toilet
Ijust blurted it out without any social inhibition and she could totally relate to it before she realized it
This is extra funny for someone who used to be a social phobic perfectionist.
Somewhat older guy, gray hair, smalltalking cosily, younger woman, going along, inadvertently spilled the beans

RE: Hefty bags
FALSE. Up until some time in the mid 90's to early 2000's it was heavy duty waxed banana boxes. Those things were amazing. Gone the way of the Dodo, these days.
