How long can fully colonized rye bags sit for before spawning?

Hey guys have two bags to be spawn based of Rye Grain and plan on throwing into a cococoir susbstrate for bulk using Bod or Whyte's monotub tek
Issue here now one is just about fully colonized while the other is lagging behind
I have a 48 Litre (Int. Dimensions 30 x 41 x 37 cm) and a 56 litre tub ready to use
Should I use the bag that's ready with 650g of coir (after giving it a bit more time to colonize further) or can I wait another week or so and use them both as spawn, even if the slow bag is only around 90% or so
pic (the bag on the right is rock solid at the moment):

Well you should only use a bag at 100%. That said you will be spawning them each to their own tub, and if so, then you may do so as they are individually ready or wait until both are ready in this case.

Would a 48L (~51qt) tub be too big for just one of these bags (2.7lb rye grain each) + coir?
I'm leaning more toward waiting til they are both ready and using them both as spawn in the same tub - I guess really my main concern is that the one that colonized faster will encounter problems if I leave it sitting for too long, while waiting for the other to catch up.
How long can the already colonized rye grain/substrate be left dormant before it HAS to be introduced fruiting conditions?

Put the bag in your fridge, it will slow down further grow, or just leave it do its thing, I guess a week won't hurt

Don't mix your spawn. That's like putting all your eggs in one basket. It only must be used once it fruits in the bag, but that's silly.

Okay, fair enough. SO if I decide to use 1 bag per 'cycle' would an entire 650g coir brick be too much in this case? I plan on having the final substrate mix to be approx 4 inches in height layed in mix of both spawn/coir
will also definitely post some pics as soon as we see some fruits!!

Those bags look far too tiny for a tub of that size
What I have heard is that you want to get somewhere near a ratio of 0.75:1:1 spawn/coir/verm
I would have done the math for you, but I don't get what is the length and width of your tub and what is the height of it

Also it wouldn't make sense to split the bags on cycles, rather to take two small tubs, like shoebox size

they're 5.5lb total
smallest tub is 12 x 16 x 14.5 inches

I do assume the height to be 37cm so 4 inches / 10cm of substrate would mean that you would need :
30 x 40 x 10 = 12000 cm2 = 12 liters to fill that tub A 650g coir brick plus 2 liters of verm and 4-5 liters of water would give you around 12 liters of coir-verm-mix
With 1,25kg / liters (one bag) of spawn to 12 liters of coir/verm-mix you would have a ratio of 1:10 - You would be quite on the light side with that imho
I would probably rather go for at least both bags of spawn for that much substrate, so you would get 1:5 ratio
But I am a noob, just guessing about what I have read about doing bulk in this forum, I haven't done it myself yet

1:5 ratio seems like way too much from what I've been reading. I was thinking more 1:2 at the most but thanks so much for pointing that out. I think I'll get a few shoeboxes and start from there unless I can find something else to convince me otherwise

Sure, no worries
I think two smaller tubs are better as it distributes the risk and gives you more freedom to try things like different misting ore FAE
There is no right or wrong here, do however it suits you best and maybe share your experiences later on
Good luck
