Anybody have experience with a good pair? I'm not looking to spend a lot. I definitely want a good view of the moon.

I personally am partial to vortex optics. I think I have a pair of 10x42, I forget which actual model, but they very clear. The view of the moon is very good. Not like, jaw dropping incredible like a nice telescope will get ya, but the clarity and overall ease of use added to the versatility for other activities... well worth the money. I use them often to look into a clear night sky toward the Milky Way and I’m always so astonished at how many more stars you can see through them compared to the naked eye.

Thanks. I'll look into that. I'd like to be able to see notable astrological events with a good view. One day I'd like to get a telescope, but I don't have the room at home for one. Binoculars seems like it could be fun too since I can take it anywhere. Bird watching and other things in general sounds fun with binoculars.

I haven't tried looking at the moon with them, but I recently bought a pair of Athlon Optics which have exceeded my expectations. Very good build quality and glass/coatings. My Nikon pair don't even come close.

Perhaps a pair made by a space telescope company. I own a 90mm Meade telescope and the Moon is VERY detailed. Its incredible. I believe both Meade and Celestron both make binoculars for night viewing.

I have a pair of Hawke 10x42 binos I use for scouting waterfowl that work great for stargazing.

Thanks for the suggestions. The problem I'm having is there's a lot of options and I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Some of these are too expensive for me or too big.

I read "I use for scouting werewolves".
I am now deeply disappointed.

In the past I've found decent affordably priced binoculars at pawn shops.
