King oyster grow questions

Hey mates~ ♡
It will be my first time growing king oysters.
I'm going to start from a spore print (I know it's probably not the most common way, but hey hahaha).
I chose this specie because of right now, where I live, it is quite cold (10-18 ° C apx), and I suppose it is one of the few varieties that I have that are suitable (I'm already fighting to fruit cubes, so...).
My plan:
Spore print-DFA Agar (Passing the phase of the spore syringe and just scraping some of the print on the petri dish).
Agar-Agar (to clean it)
Agar-WBS
WBS-Pasteurized straw in a bucket with holes. (Probably not suplemented, because of I cant PC Straw)
Looks great? Any advice? With these temperatures, is it possible?
Tonight, I will inoculate the agar, lets see.
Thank you very much ~~

Also mention that I have a garden, in case it could be a better idea to grow it outdoors (although with pretty low temperatures, of course)

Your temp range isnt bad at all, its the ideal range for Kings.. hope you looked up the temps and RH requirements beforehand. I would not grow outside in a garden. They will get annihilated by insects and your night temps will drop too low even for Kings.
You said "looks great?" but didnt provide any pics so idk what thats about haha.
While pasteurized straw is a common choice for any Oyster, and will work.. the bucket is not a good idea for Kings. They are top growers so you may want to rethink what you are going to grow them in. Im sure you'll get some to come out of the holes and on top but its just not a great setup for Kings.

Thank you~ ♡
And yeah, I looked at it before, but theres not much information of king oyster growth in agar, thats why I ask about temps (specially for the agar stage)

Well I just had (literally two weeks ago) a plate of agar fully colonized with King Myc in my room at a cool 60*. I have 8 bags that fully colonized in just over twl weeks as well at pretty chill temps for the house (while occasionally turning on the heated blanket for them). They all colonized beautifully. King myc is surprisingly aggressive even at colder temps.

I just inoculated some LC from agar with King's a few days ago, and I'm planning to use that on oats in jars. The agar started from a biopsy of kings grown in Korea. Then,... well the rest is experiment. I'm ready to try egg cartons, newspaper, brown cardboard or whatever once I get a jar or two of oats fully colonized.
What substrates and geometries have worked for you with Kings?
Here's a picture of a grow on egg cartons, cloned from a grocery store oyster mushroom (via agar and oats). I was able to get reasonable fruiting from the cartons. So far I've done exactly the same thing with the kings (starting from a biopsy, agar, LC...). Is this the way to go with kings?

Also, Stamets says raising (??) CO2 a bit makes the kings grow meatier stipes, like the ones in the original commercial package. Have you tried anything like that?

I use masters mix (hardwood fuel pellets and soy hulls) then fruit out of grow bags. That stipe bit is absolutely true for any oyster. An excess of CO2 will produce larger stipes. For other oysters this is not something you want as they can be pretty chewy (I think they still rock in chowders as a great clam replacement). But King stipes are what you WANT to grow bigger. Luckily most home grows are always going to be CO2 heavy environment for Oyster standards so youd have a hard time not getting meaty Kings. Now I have also tried growing Kings outside in a bed. It worked great but I got big giant caps with little to no stipes at all. They were still delish but for Kings I def prefer a meaty stipe over a meaty cap. Shreds up beutifully for Veganized "pulled pork".

Thanks! Of course, using up piles of cardboard and egg cartons is one motivation for growing oysters! I'll see what happens with the usual oat spawn + cardboard formula. I definitely agree about kings and stipes; the store-bought kings all have those nice fat stipes and they are my very favorites of all.
