Possibly something to do with the fact that he had them in the dehydrator for a sec first. I imagine they shrunk a bit, stressing some tissues to allow for quicker oxidation once he changed his mind and threw them in the fridge. Should've just stuck with one or the other IMO

I was thinking it probably was something like that, I'm guessing it's no good so I'm keeping it separate for now. I'm just glad it wasn't too many

I harvested a few this morning before work and started dehydrating them before I realised no one was gonna be around to turn off the dehydrator. I didn't wanna run it all day so I threw them in a ziploc after about 5-10min in the dehydrator, and put them in the fridge until I got home. Came home to finish the job tonight and they'd gone super dark, almost black. Oxidation I guess? Was surprised to see that only 8 hours did that much but upon further reading I'm seeing plastic bags are not recommended for fresh fruits, guess that's why. I finished drying them any way, but I don't know if they're still any good

Next time just throw them in the dehydrator. I regularly leave loads for 48 hours with 0 issues or degradation. That heat kills magic crap is an old myth.

It was more about just not wanting to waste electricity, but that's good to know if needed it won't hurt the potency. Thanks!

fuck me
I dunked it after harvesting the last of the second flush and that's what happened when I tried to dump the water out, guess I shouldn't have tilted it so far. Oh well, got two solid flushes out of it first
 there, I fixed it

Heh a sub jigsaw puzzle
Hope it recovers for you - for my first tub I followed Bod's unmodified tub tek - harvesting made easy by filling tub with water to raise it to the top, snippedy snip the shrooms then syphon the water out with a short length of garden hose and you have dunked and harvested at the same time!
Maybe something to try with a future tub? I liked the efficiency/simplicity of it.

I actually used bod's harvesting tek on the first flush! It worked great, but with this tub I had to tape up the holes which made it kind of a pain, and there were so few fruits left to harvest of this flush at the end that it wasn't worth the effort this time, so I just filled it with enough water to submerge it and let it soak for 24 hours. Might try some unmodded tubs soon though!

I had one crack because the tub fell and I still got 2 flucshes out of it after the incident.
Hopefully it will be fine!

They can flush fine after breaking but generally don't break unless they are over hydrated and or harboring contams.

Gotcha, yeah I'm guessing this shallow of a sub/this saturated probably caused it. I thought it might be contams because it was moving pretty slow for a second there, but seems to be back in business no funky smell or nothin

Getting a bit bigger of fruits now! I think maybe it was just a bit under hydrated before

Second flushes almost always give fewer but bigger fruits. Glad you're getting some though.
