How much magnesium is usually found in vermiculite??
    #27077424 - 12/07/20 05:06 PM (3 years, 2 months ago)

I heard magnesium is bad for the babies. The one I bought doesn't specify but it does say that mag is present.

Considering it's a mineral that contains magnesium or iron I would say a lot. But like all things chemistry it takes understanding to know dangers.

Cyanide = deadly.
Some forms of vitamin b12 contain cyanide and are routinely injected into people with deficiency

Im sure if you mixed in magnesium with your sub it would not be beneficial. Now verm being one of the most common non nutrient sub additives it will not harm, the babies, in any way. I use it to balance moisture, if my coir is to wet it gets a handful of verm.
