Slowing Spawn Bag Colonization in Attic?

My spawn bags are almost colonized. I will not be able to transfer them to bulk until early January.
Was going to throw them in the fridge, but would rather leave them hidden.
Could I throw them in my attic, which seems to be similar to external temp, and be fine? Temperatures outside will range from high 20s mid 30s at coldest, and up to 60 at warmest.
I believe an attic temp range of 35-55 would be accurate, and possibly even less of a range. Is there a temp that the mycelium will die/would varying temperatures kill the myc?

just keep them at room temps if your lucky they should make it fine until Jan. now you might have a harder time busting the grains out when it is time to spawn.

Could do that as well. Is there anything wrong with being in the attic? Would provide security while I am away from the house.
Although it is only 2 spawn bags so not the biggest deal.

one you get below 32 you might have problems is why in the attic. also if your worried about security if your growing with roommates you can get them in big trouble rather they know or not.

Gotcha that is certainly helpful. My roommates know. My landlord doesn't. Would rather avoid explaining what a bag of white grain is to them if I can.
I do not think it would be an issue even if stored in the usual location. But given I will be away from the house for some time would rather be safe.

Same question but with spore syringes. Can these be better kept in the attic rather than fridge?
