Contamination "quarantine"

So I've tried a lot of things...peroxide,salt,certain fungicides, cutting pieces out..and nothing has really worked. I just assumed that, agitating contams in any way, inevitably caused them to spread. I just did this for the hell of it.
Trich appeared as the first flush was underway and I took a jar and a shot glass and just twisted it into the substrate, covering the contams completely.
It seemed to work. The trich continued to grow, but only within the jar/shot glass. I got 3 healthy flushes before the contamination spread. It's stupid that it worked so well but I figured it was worth mentioning for anyone desperate to find a way to get SOMETHING out of a contaminated bin.

I couldn't agree more. You wouldn't quarantine moldy bread for a day and eat the rest, would you? Every organism will create waste and mushrooms are known to suck up contaminants. Why take the risk?
It's a hobby where you enjoy what you grow. I know tossing it will set you back weeks but that's part of the learning curve. I fucked up so many times my garden is very healthy now.

Because it works? It's not as if it hurts the other bins. It doesn't contaminate the resulting yields. It's literally just a waste to throw it out. I got 5-6 ounces from that bin. Healthy ounces. Y'all are crazy if you think I should have thrown it out.

Most of us don't bother to tend underperforming substrates and would rather focus on something we didn't contaminate with bad spawn.
Trichoderma isn't just a surface contaminate, a shot glass only stops what you can see on the surface and not the trich that's growing intertwined with your cubensis myc. Keeping contaminated materials around is bad practice.
Time and effort spent on a healthy substrate made from healthy spawn is time and effort better spent.
The claim of a modest 5-6 ounces is very dubious. Not that it's a stunning result or anything but your past two threads you've posted were lamenting the size of your tiny Mazatapec fruits because you completely swamp-logged your substrate and the other(s) were about not being able to fruit anything at all. Your post prior to all of that was about having nothing but contamination, the post previous to that, again contamination and asking how to mold fog.
Why am I going through all this effort? A TC tried to help you and you chose not only not to listen but to be insulting too after nothing but a post history of failures and asking for help over the past half a year.

So,in other words. You're right because you are right? Makes sense. Well this post obviously wasn't for you.
And yes,I was overly worried and pessimistic be because it had been awhile since I had successfully grown. I moderated them more carefully and they blew up. First flushes were weak, the 2nd and 3rd stronger.
But I have seen posts on here, many times, by people trying to combat contams. This worked. And it worked well. Your arrogance/ego would have been best left out if this. I don't know why you wasted your time either. But I sure as hell would never waste flushes because of hobbyist ideology on giving up.
And yes, OBVIOUSLY, contamination existed under the surface, but it's trich. It's not ebola.the fruits were healthy and weren't affected by some "bread mold" under the surface of the substrate.

Chill.
People are trying to help here. But hey, opinions are like arseholes (everybody has one, nobody gives a shit about yours but you). Who knows? You might be the one to discover trich laced shrooms are the next big thing. Makes your dick bigger or shrink your IQ just that little bit more. Wonders of scientific discovery...
But there is a tried and tested approach in human relations. If you like the opinion, say thank you and do something. If you don't like the opinion, say thank you and do nothing. Works for me.
It is my opinion that you should give it a try. Go on.
