Should I start fruiting? Or should I keep sealed an wait longer
    #27060127 - 11/27/20 12:37 PM (3 years, 3 months ago)

So I'm at the point where I dont know if I should start the fruiting process. All looks good but I dont really want to mess this up. Can someone give me some tips and lmk if I should start the fruiting process. This is my first monotub so I'm not really 100% on it. Also does it look like there is any contamination going on? I'm worried about cobweb mold forming. Thank you for your time

Looks very good! It's probably just healthy hyphae but a close-up picture of the upper right-hand corner might help to make sure.

I'd fruit it, really looks amazing man! Is this your first time?  :smile2:

Thank you  , so this is my first time doing a monotub. I've only ever grown one other time and it was pf tek method. I had a okay harvest but some legal stuff came up an so I had to take it all down an dispose of it before I went away for almost a year. I took a closer picture of that section you asked for. I'm really going for the biggest harvest I can. I have 2 containers each with around 6lb of substrate in each container. Anyways here is the picture

Looking good! Since the fuzzy mycelium doesn't have a clear barrier between it and the rest, I'd say it's not cobweb/contam and just very happy mycelium.

Could be a reflection, or grain if you used popcorn or something like it, but I think there's a little guy pinning through in the upper right hand portion on that last pic

Fruit it my man!

So idk if that is a pin. It might be the grain I used. I tried to make a decent layer on top after I mixed together with the substrate. I used some very small grain stuff. I think its millets. Idk I got it from north spore. Anyways I do hope for the biggest yield possible. So far everyone has said it looks really good. Fingers crossed. Ill definitely post picture updates along the way so if you're interested in seeing final product just stick along an look for my posts. Thanks everyone

Cobweb mold is sort of grayish and grows way differently than what hes got there.

:superthrust:

Fruiting early doesn't lead to cobweb. Don't trip on that. Most rainbow cultivators fruit right out the gate nowadays.

Regarding going for the best yield possible:
Properly hydrated substrate
Proper conditions
Good genetics.
