found deep in the redwoods about 4 days after heavy rain there were more than oi coukld carry out muyself in th e few smaller bags i had i have pioctures here of them fresh and dryng. i did take som e older ones and yes some i pulled the mycelium... om purpose to add to my mushroom bed at home

Looks like it's Suillus caerulescens, which is mycorrhizal with Douglas fir.

the spore holes looks too big to me to be a suillus plus suillus doesnt have stem ring, but dont know what it could be

Suillus rather commonly have relatively large tubes. The fact that they are radially arranged is another feature that points toward Suillus. And several Suillus species have rings.

If you're comparing yours to photos on the Internet, most of them in the Internet photos are pretty young looking, where yours are mature.

Suillus caerulescens has a white ring on the stem just like in your photos, and it's also the most common Suillus in the area you found it.

thanks for the clarification Alan i did a bit of research and i didnt knew suillus family were so diverse, where i live suillus collinitus is what we have and are a little different from the OP find
