Is this Dehydrator a good option?

Is this dehydrator good for dehydrating mushrooms? I have been using one of those cheap circular ones but I need more space. I also want one that is silent. If you anyone has any other recommendations please share. Thank you all.

Yes, its really good. A $30 one works pretty good too. (I use a $30 one)

That should work great at the lowest temp setting

IMO that one is too expensive for what you are getting.
You can get a 10 tray 900w from Cabela's for $99 right now.
Ignore that low temp BS - you want 160°f or it will take an eternity to dry them. You might as well use a box fan if that's what you want to do.

No. You use it at the highest setting, 165.

OP If you can't find one for really cheap you could build a DIY one with a space heater and build a wooden box with something to use as trays inside
That is my next project.

Thanks for the info about the $99 one. Do you have it? I am trying to find out if this is silent cause I do a lot of the dehydrating at night and in the bedroom. The one I use now I always use at 160 but I need something more/bigger/more powerful.

I do not have that specific one. I have been using a square tray Nesco for a while and it is definitely not silent. If I had to guess, the Cabela's dehydrator is not going to be substantially quieter than other dehydrators if at all. Maybe you could hang a towel between where you sleep and the dehydrator to muffle some of the noise?

I got the Cabela 900w dehydrator. Here is some feedback after my first use.
Ten trays is a lot of space. But unless you want to cut up your fruit especially caps then you might end up using only 5 trays as the space between trays are too small to accommodate avg size mushrooms.
It seemed to dehydrate faster than the common round low cost dehydrators.
It is not quiet.
Does not have a timer or any auto shut off. This was unexpected being that it's a common feature on the cheaper dehydrators out there.
I will use it a few more times and decide weather to keep it.
