That's good to know, yeah I am sure it's way colder up near you than here, so if they are popping out your way we should be good for a month or so down south. Nice cluster!! I love the colors of the young ones.

I found a few smaller immature aborted weilii that where frozen solid on Wednesday but the season is over. We had nights in the 20s a few days in a row. I didn’t get any pictures. Too public and not worth it. They where pretty spoiled.

Yeah, I'm on to oysters and lion's mane now. I'm still spreading mycellium though so hopefully I'll have more future spots.

I have some colonized cardboard. I'm unsure if I should spread it now or see if it will survive the winter indoors. I'm afraid it will die out if I leave it alone. There's also a bit of contam so I'm afraid to give it more cardboard. What do you think? Should I plant it outside or wait it out?

Awesome finds! How much longer with school do you have? I am glad I got that behind before COVID. I feel your pain though, haha.

I am hoping to head out this weekend in the N Georgia area for my first hunt! It seems the season is close to an end but we will see what Forsyth Co. has to offer! Currently in analysis paralysis from reading through all these GA yearly posts. So much info to process from you wonderful folks!

Nice. I’ve checked in on my void spot periodically these past few months with no luck.
I do have a load of trees and branches that need to be thrown through the wood chipper. And more limbs to lop. I’m trying to hold off until spring when I can bomb the fresh wood chip pile with fresh stem butts.
You think the chips at your landscape spot were butt bombed? Or naturally occurring? Is it otherwise the right habitat?

Season's over for weiliis my man.
And i think these are 'naturally' occurring as in i don't think this is anyone's cultivation project. The surrounding areas are perfect for ovoids, floodplain with lotsa boxelder, so I'm thinking they spread there own their own or the wood chips were already carrying some mycelium before being spread there.
