Congrats! These take so long and are so finicky it makes it all the more exciting when you finally see them. Took me a few go-arounds to get them as well.

Thanks guys. Very happy about this. The weird thing is these came pretty fast too. Spawned August 16th and fruited/cased 25th. They are in a 45ltr mono with approx 2 liters/minute extra fae via airpump

Nope. Using grain spawn to small tubs this time.

That's not Semperviva, but I do the same for exotics. I like these little tubs. Perfect for one jar of spawn plus a little straw or substrate. The FC's fit six at a time.

Still debugging. Agar questioning.
I have some agar rounds that look perfect months after taking the clone or transfer:

And some others, darkening a lot at the spot of inoculation. I find these dodgy - even if they look fine from above (no picture from above to show in these cases unfortunately):

Anyone else getting these?
I'm fairly happy with my own Semperviva spore prints, it's not as much of a shitshow as I was expecting:

Does P. subtropicalis actually fruit on plain CVG? I have some grain spawn almost finished colonizing (WAY faster than my LC inoculated bags). Would like try something on the safe side, so I hope CVG is possible.

Fruits from pure coir, but there's been previously few to none (?) pictures of agar pins or pinning from straight grains.
It's interesting to me why and why not a species like subs won't or will fruit from agar or grains, there's almost no information here I've read that explains this much why some species do and some don't have this extremely attractive Adaptive trait.
and whether or not they should all theoretically have these genetics just at a low rate, meaning just too few dice rolls

Funny you write this, because for the first time in 10 months I've been cultivating this species, I finally have an agar pin! I'll post the photo with the details when I have some time. As for fruits straight from grains, I've posted quite a few photos already.
And I totally agree with what you wrote.

Hmm alright, first I'll let the jars consolidate for 2 weeks or so. Reading about the trich issues a few members seem to encounter, I'll sterilize the bags then and use my SAB for spawn to bulk.

Pics from today.

This is the tub with the extra fae airhose and it is far ahead of the mono with just passive fae. Could be culture maybe, although ms both these T2 cultures originated from the same T1 plate.

Amazing, congrats!
I've inoculated another Subtrop jar because it doesn't look like the mycelium of my old cake is gonna do anything at all.

I've been cultivating Semperviva for ~10 months now. And for the first time I have an agar mushroom. It took about 4.5 months for it to appear. Also, this was originally from a clone, and this plate is T3 from the original clone:

Thatโs lovely. Are there more knots forming in the area of the small mushroom at 7 oโclock?
