Question:
Can you store the subtropicalis LC in the fridge, or will it not survive the temp ??
Anyone tried?

I've had success with a LC that was in the fridge for about 8 months.

And that LC was made from a 10 months old slant.

Do subtrops have a preference regarding grain?
I've just started some spores and am thinking ahead to my grain jars. I have RGS and sorghum on hand.
Although I'm also thinking about going to LC and then to MudaFuka bottles...

I use wheat and sometimes I add some barley. I've heard millet could be better but can't say for sure. I also think you'll have a better chance to succeed with the bottle tek.

My subtrops eat barley, oats, millet, RGS and probably most other grains.

Going to have my first trip in about a year and try this species for the first time this weekend. I'll give a trip report afterwards. Planning on doing something not too heavy as I'll be on the beach fishing too. Does 0.7 g sound like a reasonable dose to those who have tried it?

Always excited for a new report.
I need to try these still. Too much serious shit going on to have a decent trip, sucks when this happens.

I'm definitely looking forward to them since it's been a while since I've last tripped. By all accounts these seem to give a top notch experience too.

The other issue I have with the semps, is that it has ruined my impression of the others. I have tried cubes (PE variants as well), tamps, nats and pans. I see no reason to ever take the others, other than doing them just for diversity sake.
Sorry for the long post but I had to share this. These are easy to grow, the fruits are dense, and they offer the best psychedelic experience I have ever had by a long fat margin. I have said before and I reiterate: to me, this is THE magic mushroom
Odissey, this just brings tears to my eyes. I've been in that timeless dimension where thought has no place on 2,5gr of pan cyans. But it was the hardest most mind boggling and challenging trip by far, I'll never do that again... however, I've never got that sense of bliss on any higher dose.. so your previous experience made me curious, and this one galvanised my interest in this mushroom. CaptainFuture also coined that this is "THE" magic mushroom. Thank you man
Hey 0t0lerance! 2.5 g pan cyan is quite corageous I have had an overwhelming experience with pan cyan wild coast at 1.8g, can't imagine 2.5. The pan cyan trip was nice but it got way too intense. With the semperviva it seems like I went further but I was always in safe hands if that makes sense. Like when things were extremely alien, it still seemed like I was meant to be there and I was protected by the mushroom. With the pan cyan it felt like everything was out of control and I just had to lie down and weather the storm. It was not dark like cubes can be though, so I still consider pans better than cubes at the appropriate dosage.

Lost 1 bag to trich today. 8 days after casing. Tbh there was a reason I spawned this one jar seperately, so now I'm kinda happy I did.
Hopefully the two bigger subs will fare better.

Alright, well, I got something to look forward then. Currently 6 small bags going and 3 large bags are in the pc as we speak. Too many subtropicalis cultures going at the moment, I'm lacking agar dishes haha. Will move the cultures to LC's soon

I got absolutely rocked by 2.5g of pan cambos once. A few hours of feeling like a leaf in a hurricane.
I have a culture of semperviva in LC right now, will be putting some to grains this week. I'm excited to get stuff going with this species.

What is the bottle tek? My small monos are stalling for a month now, cold shocking, drying etc.just won't do any effect. I wish I could go from spores, but all I have is a clone from Angam. Anyone knows how to get in touch with Captainfuture? I'd love to get a sporeprint from him, but I guess he doesn't check his pm box too often

I'm no Captainfuture, but I can send you a print. I have a massive failure rate with my Semp, but at least when they don't contam before, they always pin 14 days after spawning them.

Bottle tek results with semperviva

Btw, I tried to mimic your grows, SirPsycho, but with no luck. I used tall PP5 bottles, stuffed to the rim. I used pure coco and millet spawn, and the one I cased with humus has triched, the other one I cased with coco is running for almost two months, it was cold shocked, dunked, dryed and rehydrated, the only thing I didn't try is scratching. But I don't give up, I'll try making a bag with only hay + millet spawn and see what it brings.

All this trich is making me nervous. I think I'll spawn everything to small trays instead of large totes to minimize loss.

Me too! I've got some Semperviva ready to go to grain in a day or two... starting to lose the tiny bit of confidence that I had
Also going to send some LC to Pf Tek.. that was my backup plan, but if it seems to be culture related it probably won't help much
🤞 hopefully I get lucky with the culture.. if not, I've still got a little more than half a print to go back to
