My Pasty EZD continues to do well:

What looked like eggs before, now looks more like ET's fingers:

But... on the side of the tub, some blue contamination has appeared

So far it doesn't look like Trich... so far.
My goal here is to take few clones, since this tub pinned 13 days after spawning and there are some really nice clusters.
What would be my best approach regarding this contamination? Leave it be? Or take a chunk of the cake out of the tub?

Arg, shit. I'll leave the tub alone for a few days and try to take some clones this week-end then.

Put some salt on it and around it. It won't kill it but it will slow it down and you can get a flush.

First time I hear about this one. Sodium bicarbonate is also an option but salt works better imo.

Toothpaste is not trolling.
It dries out what it touches, cannot be colonized, and is cheap and common in any household.
What happens is the top outbreak is contained, but the mold resurfaces elsewhere.
I would never include it in a guide, but if you have space to fruit out moldy tubs, it sometimes help fruits getting time to mature, just like salt
Obviously the trich is still moving inside the sub

12 hours after getting this in a tub, it's on roll. When are you all casing?

I cased mine at 100% colonization. So 5 days after spawning them. But bare in mind that I'm a noob with this species. My Pasty EZD pinned after 13 days (so 8 days after casing) - and I cased with pasteurized cactus soil.
Good Luck

I've cased at 100% and I've left the grain exposed and both did fine.

I suppose this isn't the normal size for Semperviva mushrooms?

@nosf3r4tu the salt worked great! Trich is progressing underneath the surface, but not popping up so far. Thanks a lot mate

Cased one tray with 50:50. Left 4 others uncased. Huge bag of sub almost colonized. Just gonna let it sit.
Another bag has been colonized and unopened for a bout a month. Nothing remarkable

With Subtrops size is determined in the same way Cubes are: Genetics, Substrate water content(high % = shorties), FAE (high fae = shorties), and Light intensity.
fruit any tall growing culture in a properly setup shotgun fruiting chamber and they will be very very short.
