Whimsical needles 😝 Dunno how you guys get those thick stems... Anyways, it´s my first try on these, so I´m pretty happy! and thank you so much MELGO for the genetics and all the info collection that made this possible... Still pretty conflicted about FAE for these semps: im at 30% RH, started with EZdial micropore taped… now I opened the holes and filled the bottom of the tub with water… Shoebox inside a 20L EZdial water tub, that is
Not the most consistent pinset, but do they look happy? should I change something? all input appreciated

Going to have to harvest these. I have some kind of infection running through my grows. It sucks because it is the best flush I have ever gotten from subtropicalis.

pseudomonas.
Try leaching the toxic black water from your coir and buffering with calcium hydroxide. Coir is a seed hull and has phytate which is an enzyme inhibitor and antifungal. Phytate is destroyed by heat, alkalinity, and is water soluble so much of it comes out in the wash.
Pre treating your grain with pseudomonas fluorecence would also likely work but that is not an accessible task for most folks.

Thank you. I asked in the contamination stickie and I don't think anyone really knew what it was. I appreciate your advice, though it is over my head.

So... Just gonna hang my ignorance out for everyone to see for a minute... The flush looks good to me. What am I looking for?

See the black mushy cap at 12 oclock and 1/3 down?
That's bacteria.

Is there any concern to eating fruits that look like that if boiled fresh or dehydrated?

I'd pluck the two I see and chuck 'em. Probably not much risk unless eaten fresh but why take the chance when there's so much.
RockinRobot's Bell Cap on bubbly SBA Looking interesting. About a week old. I'll have a more precise age when I get home.

Another with less bubbles lol, and sectoring.

Just put some of those bell caps to grain last night from some pretty t1 plates.
Should have done another transfer before grain just for good measure, but I got nothing in a tub right now and it is killing me.

Can't wait to see how they go for you guys. I'm still lurking but I have moved to Pans now that my second batch has been harvested. Once again I have so many I'll never eat them all, so will be a while before I grow anymore Semps. Have well over 1/2lb dried. At a gram a trip that may take a while.
Hopefully 1 of you will try and stabilize the pheno.

How long are you leaving your jars to colonize???? Getting all my info together I have some fixing to start. The way I I have read is that the semp spawn has to colonize for a good bit longer than cubes? That they fruit better by letting them go a bit past 💯?? Can someone confirm??? Also any tips on growing and anything I need to do special beside colonizing longer Also keeping the Sub a little under field capacity? I will be adding a casting too. Thanks
