Yeah ime running a clone from tissue or t1 is basically the same as MS that’s been transferred a few times. When I ran clones that I had taken out to t3 or t4 they get way more uniform.
I definitely like the variety in the exotic species. Stuff like golden teacher has gotten so domesticated it’s always the same now. If you pull up grows from 15-20 years ago even cubes had a ton of variety, they look much different than now.

Woooo! Wild Xico Semperviva first eggs/pins for me! Still very much learning these myself. This tray was cased with sand/verm/peat 10/45/45 on 12/20 and kept in my pan tent right under the ultrasonic pipe.

Nice Tao and SleepyDave!
Do you pH adjust your peat/V/S casing, if so to what? What depth of casing?
Your tray is right under the ultrasonic pipe, is the casing soaked, does it evaporate, is your sub wet?

Thanks Yoshi!
Yeap, ph adjusted with pickling lime to 7.7pH on the meter. Casing depth is maybe an 1/8" at best. The sand addition, when wetted down, keeps it even thinner in a lot of places.
Even under the pipe, my tent runs a lot of fae. It would dry to teh same levels as my pans usually do. I would water heavier than pans, morning and night, and throughout the day she just saw evap cycles every 10 mins or so. But it did stay a little more visibly moist on the casing when the ultrasonic was running.
Only thing of note that I did for this vs pans was I let this colonize the substrate for about a month before casing.

It always makes me skeptical when they don’t have pics of their own grows, but I guess that’s part of why lc and plate vending are so big now cuz you don’t actually have to do anything.
If they seem to know what they’re doing then I don’t see why it wouldn’t be legit.

Interesting development...
This spore plate, which I used to create the beautiful Bell shaped tub, has been sitting in a closet since. It is getting plate pins. Thinking I'm going to need to clone. You can also see the 1/4 missing agar that created the bell shaped mushrooms.

Nice. It’s even knotting up where the agar is missing.
Preprint spray down.

my first semps surface <3... and the smell, so different... this shit is looking so good that I'm afraid of messing it up by having my first true casing attempt... All I could get my hands on was cactus soil: white moss turf (95%) and sand (5%); PH 5,5 - 6,5... should i go for it or let it ride?
