Third flush Semperviva on the left. First flush Semperviva on the right. You could take an eye out with the dried stems.

Either way swabs arrived today so I will swab some as well as try for prints on the last tub.
Will you try for more flushes with the bell cap tray?

Few minutes free so random post. My half gallon LC of Tamp might be beginning to grow some stones. It is just about a month old now.
It would be cool if this worked a quarter as well as grain.

It already has new pins. Also I have a second tray that also has some very pretty bell caps that I plan to swab and try to print. Hopefully today

Harvested the other tub that had nice looking bell caps this morning. I have about a dozen caps printing and as promised I swabbed a few as well. Tub in picture. I only printed bell shaped caps from it. It dropped lots of spores as I can even see them on the sides of the tote.
I will have 5 swabs and hopefully a bunch of prints. Fingers crossed on the prints. I'll be watching for the PM's

Given what's been in common circulation, and the color of the cap, I'd say it's more likely pan bisporus, but I agree it looks like a pan not a semp.

Interesting. Everything you’re looking at came from the same spore syringe and the original print came from Melgo.

I’m going back and checking what grew when. I definitely don’t want to send out anything mislabeled. I’m careful but mistakes happen. Thanks for the responses.

These are Melgo semp spores from Mojave Myc but I think I drew the ultimate slow lottery haha.
My first run with semps so Im certain theres plenty of dialing in to be done for me! Any guidance is greatly appreciated!
Five weeks since pins...

Xico wild semp will be cased soon with a sand/verm/peat combo:

Edit, woo! 100th post :P Also worth noting, these are flourescing for about the bottom third of every fruit heavily at 365nm. I was genuinely shocked how much they flouresce, but im not super well versed in that side of things.

Possibly. The print I got from Rosco was more orangish spores. If you look at these prints that I got though, The ones on the far left, middle and far right looks more like what I received and the others look much darker almost black. All from the same flush.

For all those that have been Drooling over the bell caps, I finally have prints. Looks like at least 8 of the 10 came out nice. They not big but should work nicely. I also have 5 swabs that I made from the best 5 caps. I am not posting these in Marketplace at this time. I would like to offer these to those in this group first.
Pm and let me know it you prefer print or swab. Stamps are on order so may be a day or 2 before can send out.

The first tub has been re-cased and has pins already.

And last tub from first round ready to harvest.

And finally the next round made from the spore plate that spawned the best tub. These are about ready to case at 11 days. S2B 11/27
