Does anyone have a trip report on these? How do they compare to cubes or pans?

I guess I got a good culture cuz there’s like 7 pins on day 12.
I was nervous cuz I was expecting to wait a month so I haven’t read up on conditions and then couldn’t find my jiffy and used potting soil. But hey looks like it worked.

Should potting soil be pasteurized for this species and, well, for others too? Or just hydrated?

Nice A.k.a!
For this species, once your spawn is fully colonized: do you guys still wait 2 more weeks for it to be consolidated?
I have 6 jars that will be 100% colonized in a week or so.

I would pasteurize potting soil for sure.
You know what I did get busy and let the spawn sit at least a week before using it. Maybe that’s why it moved so fast.

First round of bags just hit FC
2nd round hitting sub. The one bag I decided to mix at a warmer temperature then usual. In baking we mix yeast into bread at a comfortable water temperature. I tried the same "feel" to see if the myc would jump any faster in that bag.

Nice! Did you let your spawn consolidate after your jars were fully colonized?

Well fuck I'm at a month just waiting with fully colonized sub and casing. Time to go stare at my trays unhealthily.

Damn! No solution set in stone for this species then
The Semp tray in your signature is
I have 9 jars of Semp colonizing atm. I'll spawn 3 as soon as they reach 100% colonization, and I'll let the other 6 consolidate.

Hey guys,
Starting poke my head up after Xmas break.
My first subtropicalis grow is a bit nuts. 1 jar of abused spawn that I expected to fail... and ah.. it's exploded into spaghetti.

I've been waiting for these guys to drop spore for at least 2 weeks. Do they need more time to mature?
Has something gone wrong? Are they gonna die sporeless?
Thanks

1 jar of spawn? Absolute madness! I'd personally wait and/or up the FAE for some spore drop, not sure tho, that's just the universal practice.

Ok thanks! I was getting concerned because no veils and I can't tell if a second flush has already started cause of all the spaghetti.
I assume they're just dump purple when they're ready?
I always do two, losing one sucks. It's slower, not as dense. It actually pinned about a week slower, I was starting to think it would trich out. But seems I it's catching up.

Both of these were spawned 11/25, so nearly 7 weeks old. I had 2 flushes from cubes in less than that time.
