What the heck?!
Are you positive this is a Semperviva mushroom (and not an AI-shroom by accident)? Amazing outcome! I'm looking forward to observing the results of cloning.

Turns out my wire shelf wasn't completely level because of reasons. I had two shoeboxes slide off and flip over onto the ground this week. I guess they can be an experiment, maybe I'll discover a new method nobody would have expected. One kind of landed on its side, lid came off and lost half the casing. The other did a half flip, landed upside down with the lid still on, the cake is now split and sits slightly elevated in the shoebox, and the top looks like a warzone of displaced mycelium and casing
In happier news I spotted my first primordia in another tub today so it seems things are finally happening.

This thing is wild!
Hoping the descendants from this clone will be looking as deranged.

Dropping spores without curling up. There were spores deposits on the top of some of the caps this morning, so going to try printing a few.

Well done, thirdeye! Beautiful fruits
How often are you guys misting to keep the caps from curling? I’ve been spraying mine 2-3 times a day lately & they won’t stay flat

Is there any general consensus on why the CF genetics tend to curl? Perhaps they were worked for certain characteristics, and the curl seems to have stuck.
So new genetics might yield something different entirely, e.g. PeaceFrog's runs with this species perhaps.
A few years ago (pic above) I had a monotub success with the curling variety, but I didn't take steps to preserve those so I'm starting from scratch again.

Most of the semps all are of the same collection originally. The curly edges tend to be a response to moisture or a lack thereof. If you mist them regularly they don't tend to curl.

Thanks. Iirc I was misting twice daily or so, but I don't know if that was a good amount or they just tolerated it. I didn't notice until later (they fruited for several months), but I had misted so much over time that I had floated the sub. We dubbed it the "shroomberg".
Recently, I started the xico genetics, and they are moving very fast.

I had curly and non curly fruit from the same LC. Only difference was misting. Even 90+% RH in my pan chamber curled up, but directly misted fruit did not.
